I don't have a good relationship with my mother, and my father is almost 40 years older than me. While he gives a lot of great advice and we talk a lot, that is only one opinion and there is a generation gap.
Most of my friends either don't want to talk about anything other than sports/music/etc or they don't have the life experience.
It seems like there are many things I would like to talk about but I have no where to go, its really a discouraging feeling.
While this site is a lot better than most, online forums are usually not the way to go. You can't give out personal information and it's almost impossible to get someone to see the full story. Not to mention the rampant negativity and trolling on the internet. |

My fiancee.
My mom and dad try to do too much, when I just want someone to listen and reply, not act.
My youngest sister doesn't care enough.
My older siblings all live totally different lives than me, so we can't relate on too much.
Try to meet new people. People who don't know much about you won't have any preconceived ideas about you or your situation. _________________

I guess I don't talk about life problems, mainly because I'm still living at home and haven't really started my "life" yet. But I mainly talk to my mom about my problems. Luckily for me I avoid drama and all that stuff like the plague. I guess if my mom can't really help me I talk to my brother. _________________ I <3 Kate Upton and Ezekiel Ansah, just FYI

I don't, because thats just the type of person I am. I'm a closed book and I don't like talking about me.
If I ever did change that, I know I could go talk to my brother. _________________

I split it between my wife, parents and my bible study group (it's all men). My wife for personal issues and day to day stuff. My parents for things that require life experience (been there, done that type stuff). And my bible study group for things that require a lot of deep thought or reflection. On the fence type decisions. _________________

It depends on how big the issue is. I talk to my brother about pretty much everything...since we grew up together and went through the same things, I feel like he's the only one that understands a lot of the situations I'm in. Unless it involved me dying or something, my mom is probably the last person I'd go to for big problems. I'm aware that's not a good thing, but it's just the way it is.
There is someone on here that I've talked with about life problems more than anyone else in real life, and I've got to say, I actually prefer it to talking to friends and family. _________________

I use to keep a lot to myself. Still do, but I have come across a couple people (online actually) I feel I can be open with and bounce stuff off of. I have some close friends too, but some stuff I'd just them rather not know. At least right now.
idk , online isn't as bad as you think, and this is a pretty supportive forum. _________________

I don't really. Maybe my roommate but I kind of just don't really feel the need to talk about. I just deal with it the best I can. _________________

| Don't really. Only time I ever do is in the discussion/meeting things that are required for my scholarship program. |
