I'm a component of spending a late round pick on RB Michael Dyer...
Dude is so talented and I think this staff could work wonders with him, assuming he's matured somewhat... _________________

Not sure where he will be drafted but Johnathan Franklin from UCLA is a gamer. Would love to be able to grab him in the 3rd or 4th. Fauria, UCLA TE, drives me nuts as a Bruins fan. It seems like the only time we threw to him was in the red zone, or 3rd and long. He got open a lot, just wasn't looked at all the time. He is great at going up and getting the ball, but cannot block at all. He would be a nice peice to our puzzle. If we can grab the mayor in the 3rd, and Fauria in the 4th, I think they would be great additions to this team. _________________

Why not try Trumaine there-who by the way has made Fletcher sit on the sidelines(not sure why cause Fletch was playing great)? Also we have Mccloud who is young but at the same time With Dahl back there why not give some guys experience.
I think Dahl is starting for one reason and I didn't realize it until this week. He wants him for that Finnegan sense. He wants another guy back there that won't only get in for a tackle but will finish it with aggression. I don't know how many times I saw both Fin and Dahl tackle the player by their head. |
My question is, why waste Fletcher's talent? Dahl is not getting it done. Get Fletcher some practice time at FS and see if he can get it done. |
Agreed.. I don't see why neither Fletcher OR Trumaine Johnson isn't getting any looks at safety. Neither could be worse than Dahl, and I have a feeling that at least one of the two could really excel as a S |
I understand why with Trumaine, they see him as an important long term player at CB. But with Fletcher being in the last year, why not? If he plays extremely well, it gives us a reason to bring him back. |
I don't see Fletcher's game translating very well to FS. I don't think he is fast enough, and his ball skills are far from ideal. Then again, Craig Dahl brings almost nothing to the table so..... |
Eh I think if he has the ball-skills to play CB and the speed to play CB, he can get away with it at FS. He's certainly not slower or worse at tracking the ball than Dahl.
That's my only real concern here. Upgrading on Dahl for the rest of this year. |
His coverage skills are what makes him an adequate corner. The guy can't catch and struggles to adjust to the ball. I'd like to see him re-signed, but I don't think we are in a position to offer him the kind of contract that New Orleans likely will. After all, he is our 4th corner and would start for them.
We both agree that he would be better than Dahl though. _________________

I'm not really sold that Dyer lasts that long. _________________

I think he'll last through the 4th round. His stock is really gonna depend on his overall combine... _________________

I don't really know where to put this and find it pointless to make another thread, but it is some how related so I ask here.
Say the Rams decide to retain Jackson. I for one believe if they can get a good 2-3 year contract out of him and slowly faze him out we are in our best place.
I bring this all up because I am curious as to what you guys think Fish is going to do. _________________ LANCE KENDRICKS 42 RECEPTIONS 519 YARDS

That is one of the reasons why this draft is hard to predict. Jackson has been amazing during his career here, a model athlete on and off the field. If we keep him, Rams don't really have much of a need for RB, but if he is goes elsewhere I could see Fisher addressing the position in the draft.
One thing I think will happen is he will opt out of the contract or the Rams will release him. After that I have no idea as to what will happen. He could resign for the Rams for a lower cap hit, or sign with someone else. |

I hope you are both right. I don't want to see him on another team, but free agency can be unpredictable. |

Hope he stays for 2-3 years and ride this storm in three years with all our picks we could be headed to the super bowl and get Jackson a much deserved superbowl victory. _________________

On stltoday, their writer, Burwell, has a new video segment and he interviewed Steven Jackson and asked him about the situation, seemed like Jackson wanted to stay and get a deal worked out. The second part of the interview has not been released yet.

The video is on the right side. |

Resigning him would be fantastic. He needs to stay here his whole career. _________________
