I understand the O-line sucks balls and Vick doesn't have a lot of time but his inability to recognize simple things is what makes him so terrible. If you got six defenders looking like they're coming after you and you know you have five blockers, what does common sense tell you to do?
A) Get rid of the ball quickly
B) Adjust the protection
C) Recognize the unblocked guy and make him miss
No, he just stands there oblivious to everything then looks confused after he gets planted. Let's not act like we're the only team with a bad O-line. Plenty of teams have terrible O-lines. The difference is their QBs have an IQ over 80. Plain and simple, Vick is an idiot. He's crazy athletic and has a cannon for an arm but he's dumb as a brick. |

Who pushed for his acquisition out of prison and wanted him to be our QB? Andrew Reid.
Just another reason to show him the door and hope the knob hits his backside on the way out.

Yes.
If anything it's small. There have been conflicting reports but the consensus (reported by Schefter) is that the Eagles devised the contract to essentially have a kill-switch after this year in the case that he isn't their guy.
Probably designed to coincide with Andy's last year (nobody has brought this up yet).
No way Jose, teams know Vick will be cut. Teams know he isn't a good quarterback because they gameplan against him and laugh.

Eaglescap erroneously reports 3m of Vick's 2013 salary as guaranteed. That is only in case of injury. He is still due 1.4m in pro rated signing bonus for the next 3 years but has no other guaranteed money. His cap hit if cut would be something like 4.2m. Which is pocket change compared to his salary.
