The Lions will be seriously hamstrung by Stafford and Suh's rookie deals. If we can get the right price we should resign

Sammie Hill, Justin Durant, DeAndre Levy, Willie Young Lawrence Jackson Ricardo Silva and Chris Houston on defense.

Jason Fox on offense

We let Louis Delmas, Ashlee Palmer, Cliff Avril and Corey Williams walk on defense

We let Raiola and Gosder Cherilous walk on offense (replaced by Bill Nagy and Riley Reiff)

Note: I didn't include K, P and other less expensive free agent signings.

The big surprise of the off-season is that the 49ers allow Dashon Goldston to test the market. We make the salary cuts necessary to get him signed. We trade back a couple of times so that we end up with two seconds, two thirds and a fourth and draft:

2. Cornelius Carradine, DE Florida State
2. Denard Robinson, WR, Michigan
3. Duke Williams, S Nevada
3. Exekiel Anash, DE BYU
4. B.W Webb, CB William & Mary.

This is a pretty off-the wall scenario but it would still be a pretty good off-season. Thoughts?

This looks like a doomsday off season to me. We loose a lot of talent on Defense, and the we don't pick until the 2nd. Plus I would much rather have a another DB in the 2nd or 3rd than another DE, and I don't really know where Robinson fits in the NFL, but I don't see him as a 2nd round pick.

I threw this out there as a doomsday scenario. Glad to know you guys see things the way I see them. Still, it would be nice to be able to get Dashon Goldston.
