Yep...we have a shot if the team decides they want to take it. But at this point I'm not sure if they are capable let alone willing. Two division wins in a row would be a nice boost if they are going to attempt to salvage the season.

Also it makes losing more than 2 of them inexcusable for Andy because it'll be yet another 8-8 clusterfudge of a season.

The team has no heart, no desire, we're going to go 6-10, and it's what we've needed for the last few years - we've papered over the cracks one too many times.

I totally agree...that's what I expect and almost wish for at this point (3-13 that is). We are a fundamentally flawed team that has been scrapbooked together with players who live up to their late round pick status and guys looking for a paycheck....we aren't a team. We've pissed away draft picks with busts and not developing the better players properly. Meanwhile we have this huge rainy day cap space that we don't touch all so we can win the cap-management bowl.

We still have many talented players...but so far they've made one heckuva crappy team. Who is coached by a talented guy that is stubborn beyond belief and unwilling to change his stale ideas. I like Andy, I really do, but we need a culture change in the worst way.

I'd be awesome for them to change overnight and go 8-0, take the playoffs on fire and You'd think with that schedule it's doable....but with this team there is no way.

This is what happens when you go all Redskins on us and sign every free agent. They don't know what it means to be a Philadelphia Eagle.

We need to get back to the old ways - draft and develop our own players. To do that, we need a fresh look, from top to bottom.

We used to take pride in the fact that we had very few free agents.
We used to mock the Redskins for building a team with free agents.

Now we have hired guns everywhere, sell-swords at both starting corner spots, quarterback, middle linebacker, left guard, defensive end and tackle... too many.

None of them are "Eagles".

It can be done though if done corectly. Houston's QB, #2 receiver, enter, Nose Tackle One Defensive End, Both current inside backers, number one corner and strong safety are all free agent or trade additions.

Problem is, we haven't done it right under Reid.

How many of them are big stars though?

All our free agents have been 'big names'.

Shaub, Joseph, and Myers are all pro bowl players. I think the problem is some of the guys we brought in had egos, which is no bueno.

Also when done correctly it can work, look at us in 2003 when we got TO and Kearse and went to the superbowl.

The problem is lately, we're just signing guys to sign them, and our drafts have been awful at best.

Their cornerstones are all in-house guys.

Watt, Johnson, Cushing, Foster.

You can have free agents. Every team does. But you can't build a team with them.

Falcons fan here. I was really rooting for you guys last night. Used to love myself some Vick years ago. Absolutely hate the Saints. Anyway, just wanted to say, even in the games we lost when Vick was our qb, he at least made some exciting plays. Something just isnt right. I think the media has got to him to be honest. The guy is a running qb who can throw, not the other way around. Someone please tell Andy this. Dude aint Peyton, Tom, or Aaron. If Andy wanted a pocket passer he shouldve just kep Donavan around. Vick used to always run himself out of trouble back then. Our o-line was bad too. Now he just stands in the pocket and gets drilled. I actually saw some lanes where he could've took off last night. Its like he's trying to prove something. Sad. Good luck the rest of the way. Must be frustrating.

Schaub and Myers weren't pro bowl players when they brought them in - both were backups who have developed.

That's what we need to do - find players who are a good fit and develop them

We have the pieces to build around on O and D. IF we end up reaching that magic 8, we pack up and prepare for next season. Build around Cox, Thornton and Kendricks on D and Desean, Shady and his committee of buddies who don't get any carries on O.

I agree - Houston has done a great job of building through the draft, but they aquired their QB via trade and their best cornerback via free agency. Let us also add in they aquired Shaun Cody and Antonio Smith via free agency as well.

I think the only team you can make an arguement for building through the draft would be the Steelers. I'd say just about all their playmakers were drafted by them and you could also toss the Packers out there, excluding Charles Woodson.

Yeh, the framework of your team is through the draft - then you add little compliments here or there to get to the next level.

At the moment, we're the opposite, all our star players are free agents, all our depth is inexperience.

Add the Pats to that list. Well the newer Pats.
