QB
OL
ILB
OLB |
The thing we have going with OLB and we don't at the other spots is the youth and upside of the current starters. Now players don't always improve from where they are at, but we have the shot with two young guys in that position. _________________

Your not worried by the lack of production as of late from Acho? _________________

Two things.. could be sophomore slump.. could be more time on the field too. Aldon Smith wasn't being as disruptive for a while either (he's doing better tho at 7.5 sacks now and 29 tackles, 1 FF) because he was becoming an every down player.
Acho is no Aldon but still.. easier to rush QB when you're fresh most passing downs. |

Are you going to deny that Sam Acho is A] Young and B] Has upside.
Becasue that is all I said. I did not say I was or was not worried about the lack of production we are getting. Just pointed out that we have some youth at both starting positions there. _________________

Head Coach ken Whisenhunt has confirmed that O'Brien Schofield suffered a torn ligament in his ankle Sunday and is out for the season. The injury will require surgery.
Schofield will be an UFA next offseason. |

A corresponding move hasn't been announced yet but O'Brien Schofield has been placed on injured reserve. |

I agree that Acho is young and has upside and hopefully will continue to improve.
However, I wonder when we will ever see that protypical OLB in a 3-4 that can pile up 10-12 sacks a year. I know some have made the comment that because of our defensive line and how dominate it is (or can be) in terms of pass rushing, we won't ever have that guy. That our system is different in that regard.
Von Miller would have been that guy. I believe Houston would have as well, and maybe even Brooks Reed. _________________

Schofield wrote on his twitter that he's going under the knife today. Wishing him luck from snowy MT. |

When you say next off-season you mean he's a UFA in 2014, correct? |
