Would absolutely love Routt in NE.

Perfect H/W/S for a BB Corner and God knows we need help at CB.

With McCourty moving to S and the trade for Talib, a FA acquisition of Routt could actually turn our Achilles heal into a (on paper) strength.

Shocked

Along with the acquisition of Talib and McCourty to safety....if all those stars aligned, it would certainly be an improvement on the secondary we churned out the last couple of weeks

Enough so to make it a strength?

The Vikings could probably take a look with Cook out for the year. He is a tall player like Cook.

Compared to a secondary of McCourty, Arrington, Sterling Moore, Steve Gregory and Tavon Wilson.... yes Laughing Laughing

Isn't that kinda like saying the Chiefs passing game would be a strength if they had Blaine Gabbert?

Oh Shaun Smith. Your most significant contributions to the NFL were punching Brady Quinn in the locker room and grabbing two guys in the man-region during scrums on the field.

Routt's 2013 option is only $10? Laughing

This has Baltimore written all over it. With Webb out for the season, Jimmy Smith has been struggling to take over for him. I think it's best for us to sign him, start him, and let Jimmy go back to the nickle corner.

OK, OK, I misused the word strength, but I assume the Chiefs would be better with Gabbert at QB and that's how I feel about Routt if he came here.

Heckkkk no. I wouldn't be against signing him necessarily (I don't know what his contract is, though) but he'd be at best #3 CB instead of Corey Graham.

Stanford Routt is horrible. But if anyone thinks he can play anything other than outside they are sadly mistaken. Imagine how bad he is outside, x 10 if you play him in the slot.

This team dude. Coaching staff is just diluting the talent. Where they are bad they are terrible but if you look at this team on paper they still win more than one game healthy. I'm sorry for Chiefs fans

I disagree. Routt was not bad during his Chiefs tenure and I definitly would have liked to keep him.
