2013 NFL Draft
1st Round
DT - Star Lotulelei - Utah
Big, strong, and has unbelievable athleticism for his size. He commands double and triple teams almost every time. He's stout against the run and can rush the passer. He's the beast we've been missing since Big Al left. Alot of comparisons to Haloti Ngata.
2nd Round
SS - Matt Elam - Florida
Great tackler with good instincts. He's what we've been missing in our secondary. He brings swag and fierceness. Opposing offenses will be scared to come across the middle with him there.
3rd Round
OG - Gabe Jackson - Mississippi State
Replaces Hutch in a year or so.
4th Round
DE - James Gayle - Virginia Tech
Gives us another pass-rusher and some much needed depth at DE.
5th Round
MLB - Kiko Alonso - Oregon
Depth behind C-Mac.
7th Round
OLB - Cameron Lawrence - Mississippi State
Depth behind Z-Brown.

I would love this if it all happened this way. I'm a big fan of Elam (although I'm a huge Volunteer fan and to get him in the ) and to get him in the 2nd round is a huge steal, imo.
I'm not sure how I feel about signing Andy Levitre, but I guess anyone is better than Harris. Sam Shields and Paul Kruger would be huge, imo, since both are very underrated players.
Signing Kruger would also allow us to switch to a 34 base defense, which I think would be great for us.
Great Job! _________________

Totally forgot about him to be honest. I would like to just cut him but his contract is too steep. _________________

Kind of unrealistic free agent signings. I wonder if the titans will be willing to break the bank on a defensive end or defensive tackle this year in the free agency |

Umm how? The only big move is Levitre but he's not even close to Nicks level from last year. Shields has been a nickel CB and his PT has went down this year with the outbreak of Casey Heyward so Shields is expendable with all their CBs. Kruger has been nothing more than a rotation guy in Baltimore. Not sure how these signings are unrealistic. Maybe unrealistic due to fact that we don't make smart FA signings, then yes I give you that. Also to your 2nd statement, there is no big time DE or DT FA this year. Matter of fact, the FA class as a whole is pretty weak this year. Cliff Avril is a FA but he's overrated and Freeney is a FA but he's washed up. Nothing really major. _________________

I like all the picks, but I don't think we'll be picking 3rd, more likely around 6th-7th. Gotta remember we still have two games to play against Jax. |

The way we've been playing, we could lose both of them. Although I also doubt we pick top 3 which means we lose out on Star _________________

If we don't get Star we could still get a guy like Werner, Moore or Montgomery.
It would be interesting if we brought in a new DC and switched to a 3-4 though. A LB core of Ayers, McCarthy, Teo and Brown/Wimbley would be sick.
I really like Elam in the 2nd, as long as we address the OL during FA. Babs and Johnson aren't cutting it. |

Where is Markelle Martin? You still have #33 on the team and starting at FS. You get an automatic F on your offseason. Just kidding... _________________
