I used Nfldraftscout.com and Walters Football.com for players rankings and insight. So, I don't care if you think a player will go higher or lower, please just think what if.
Restructures: Woodson and Pickett.
Resigns: WR Jennings (3 yrs at 30 mil, backloaded)
CB Shields, LB Walden, TE Crabtree
Outside FA's: TT surprises us all and signs 1, NT Terrance Knighton Jags.
Retires: Donald Driver WR (Hollywood here he comes)
Cuts: Benson, DJ Williams, Starks, Saturday, Francois, B.Jones, Zombo,
Van Roten, White, Saine, Barclay, Lattimore, Richardson.
Trade: JaMichael Finley TE to Dolphins for 3rd pick #81.
Comp: 4th rd for Flynn
Draft:
#23: Barrett Jones C/G/T Alabama 6'4" 305lbs. This should be a no brainer. Excellent fundamentals and can play all OL positions. Could be a starter at C, LT or RT. Offers insurance and depth.
#56: Larry Warford G Kentucky 6'3" 343lbs. Big strong athlete with some quickness. Better blocking for run then pass, but not bad at pass protection. Again, offers depth. TT is going OL like he went DL last year.
#81: Shawn Williams S Georgia Tough, Physical Safety with quickness and ball skills. Adds to our DBs.
#119. Shayne Skov ILB/OLB Stanford 6'3" 242lbs. Versatile LB who is tough defending the run as well as attacking pass-rusher. DUI and recoverying from injury may cause him to drop. With Bishop and Smith coming back from injury, Skov could surprise and start with Hawk.
Comp: Omaregie Uzzi G Georgia Tech 6'3" 302lbs. Yes, another OLinemen. Ideal for ZBS. Excellent mobility who can move to C in the pro's. Again, with EDS, Jones and Uzzi you have depth at C.
#151: Joseph Fauria TE UCLA 6'7" 255lbs. Well rounded TE, decent blocker and good route runner quality receiver.
#183: Zach Line FB SMU 6'1" 230lbs. Runs with power and good receiver out of the backfield. Could develope into a solid blocker and goal line FB. Either pushes Kuhn off roster or 1 TE, I vote TE.
#215: Collin Klein QB Kansas St. 6'5" 226lbs. Could develope into a good solid backup QB. Superb play maker who can run with the ball.
Someone for the PS.
53 Man roster:
QB: Rodgers, Harrell
RB: (Taylor), Green, (Line)
FB: Kuhn
WR: Nelson, Cobb, Jennings, Jones, Boykins
TE: Quarless, Crabtree, Taylor, (Fauria)

Uhh, you have Taylor (Ryan Taylor?) starting at RB? Either that's a mistake, in which case you decimated our RB corps anyways, or it's not.... in which case I seriously question your football knowledge. _________________

Thankfully the Packers have the White Wizard who would never allow this to happen. _________________

This has to be one of the worst mock's I have ever seen. I'm at a loss for words other than that.

You have us drafting a 300 pound, 305 pound guard and a 345 pound guard. Which one of those three doesn't make any sense considering the scheme and player prototypes we draft? _________________

I'm not at all against this draft.
It's the runningback and QB spots that need work. _________________

The big problem is using higher draft pics for "depth" spots on the roster as you but it. I am all for depth, but I want starters or immediate contributors out of rounds 1-4 if possible.

I agree with most everyone that this would not be a great situation. Aside from what was already mentioned, no way Lang stays at tackle, especially with a health Sherrod and Bulaga. Plus if Jones is the first round pick, something that I would like, he would play inside for us at C not a backup (third string) tackle.

wow, a lot of unabashed hatred on it. I'm not a fan but it's not that far off. Frankly, we don't even know what our needs are yet. So I'm a little indifferent on each mock.
The weakest part of our offense is the line and we've been giving guys passes because we like their potential of they've had some mean stretches of play. It's realistic that Bulaga and Sherrod will never fully recover from their injuries and that EDS needs competition. The flexibility of the players selected could come in handy for line depth next season. Jones COULD play center. He'd be in competition with EDS. Sitton will be RG and Lang could be LG or RT. Newhouse is replaceable. Warford's size isnt the issue, is he athletic enough at that size? We'll find out at the combine. Could start at LG if Lang goes to RT.
After this draft, it's realistic that we have Jones at LT, Warford at LG, EDS at C, Sitton at RG and Lang at RT with Newhouse and Uzzi being the top backups.
So there is that.
I don't like the depth at RB after this draft, but I think Starks is brought back regardless. An UDFA could make the roster too. Taylor wont be a RB. _________________
