Quarterback Change???

I can not keep watching ponder throw 2 yard passes and incompletions. With 9 minutes left in the Seahawks game he has thrown for 63 yards.

He has now had 3 horrible games in a row

He should be benched and have Joe Webb come in to try something.

We are going to lose the game when AP has over 180 yards.....

Something needs to change...

well if we make a QB change, we better:

1) New offensive coordinator
2) 2 new outside WRs

If you want to fix it, fix all 3.

You can tell his WR dont have the confidence in him...

his accuracy is worse than they ever projected

Ponder is not the only problem on this team.

For better or for worse the Vikings need to stick with Ponder this season. This season is not going anywhere and putting Joe Webb in does nothing for the future of this franchise.

I for one don't think he's doomed for failure, but he's a huge problem right now.

1) No confidence in himself
2) No awareness
3) Throws the ball too high, too low, behind his recievers etc.
4) He looks mechanical out there. Its just something you never see from guys like Brady, or the Mannings brothers.
5) decision making is a joke

I don't think he's doomed for failure, but he's clearly a problem right now. I don't know if putting Webb in there changes anything, but its clear we need help on offense.

I am not saying it will help anything. I am not saying its Ponders fault. There needs to be some type of change when we play the bears and the packers were going to get killed. They know how good PETERSON is. They will make PONDER beat them. I just dont think he can....

Why?

This team isn't making the playoffs this year. Let Ponder take his lumps and see if he gives you anything the rest of the year. If he doesn't a change needs to be made, NEXT season.

Generally I would say no, you stick with your young guy and roll with the punches. However, Ponder has shown very little to defend keeping him in there. It's not just that he is playing bad, he is physically and mentally getting worse each week. No head coach can justify what Ponder has displayed over the last 4 weeks. Granted I don't think Webb can lead us to the playoffs, you have to give him a shot.

assuming the vikings finish with 5 or 6 wins i can't see how we can go wrong by drafting wilson
