Any word on Kolb???

Just now in his presser, Whiz said he expects Kolb back "sooner rather than later". Did also say that he thought Skelton was much better this week than he was the previous 2.

Skelton didn't look that great to me. Maybe half way decent when the Packers already had a big lead but other then that less then average.

I think the QB play is a product of the oline play. When the oline gives the QB a clean pocket, whoever plays QB has the time to go thru their read and find the open receiver. Skelton could be decent with a clean pocket (as he showed at point during the Packer game). Kolb can be very good with a clean pocket. We saw Kolb was playing pretty well while under duress. With a clean pocket Kolb will be able to thrive. I would still love to take Matt Barkley if he was available, but this team can with with Kolb as long as the oline gives him a clean pocket.

Bolded: Mike Sando's stats directly refute that, as his quarterback rating is nearly 40 points lower when he's blitzed then when he's not.

Vs the Packers Skelton was 7-10 for 120 odd yards and a TD when the defense sent 5 or more.

Yup. He's better when he's attacked than he is when things are calm. Clear sign of problems with defensive recognition.
