What do we do with Beason and his massive contract? I love the guy but its clear Kuechly is the better MLB. Thomas Davis is playing lights out as well, I do not want him going to the bench once Beason is healthy. Beason isn't suited to play the SAM. Would we part ties with Beason?
Kuechly-Davis-Anderson are the best LB crew in the NFL now.
I also have to give big props to TD, he is playing amazing and is close to returning to that "All-Pro level he was playing at before the ACL tears. I love that man! |

i think you have to keep beason. he's a team leader and when healthy is a pro bowl player. plus TD is always a play away...it would be foolish to forget about his injury history and not have a plan in place should something happen. luke has to stay in the middle. def a logjam there next year _________________

We're seriously overrating Kuechly and Davis right now. Both missed tackles today, though Keek is a rook and should improve on that.
Best thing to do here is keep Beason, play him where he has experience at WILL, then rotate Davis in, as we were the beginning of the season. _________________

| Yeah but you can't rotate Davis in with Beason. The only reason we were rotating Davis in early was because of the questions regarding his knee strength and that he is a better coverage linebacker than Kuechly, which is why he was on the field on 3rd down passing plays. Beason is a very good coverage LB. I love Beason but I wouldn't mind parting ways and using that big contract on other needs, that is if Davis proves he can stay healthy for the rest of the season. |

| Or just have Davis play strongside, Beason weak, and Kuechly in the middle. |

| That could work but Anderson is a great Sam and a lot cheaper than Beason. |

Exactly, or do what we always do and draft another LB... sign us up for Manti Te'o! |

Plus, he's been our best LB last year and this year. _________________

| Well, either way we're going to be benching a very good linebacker. Anderson doesn't make the splash plays those other 3 guys make which is why I chose him. I think the only thing that cannot be changed is Luke at MIKE. |

| Luke at MLB needs to be set in stone now. Beason needs to deal with it |

I don't think Beason will have any problem with it. And I agree, I think Kuechly is a much better at MLB than outside. _________________

Anderson isn't our best linebacker; he makes tons of tackles. Those are not one and the same. _________________

Beason was no sure tackler either before he got hurt. |

Noooo way.
There was a reason we had to move Davis from Sam to Will in the first place.(All those years ago)
Keek is a monster and really taking control of this D. While he won't be considered Droy because of his non flashy stats I think he playing the best among all the defensive rookies right meow. _________________

This year he wasn't, I'm not sure that he really took all the time he should've to recover from the achilles injury. Pre-injury he was our best tackler though. I'm hoping that with this extra time off he gets closer to his previous form.
One thing is for sure though: With the questions surrounding Beason and Davis (mainly injury related), we need to keep both. We can't let ourselves get into a spot where Jordan Senn or Jason Phillips need to see significant time. _________________
