Kent Somers@kentsomers
Whiz said after practice that #azcardinals rookie LT Nate Potter is progressing, coaches looking at playing him at some point.
Kent Somers@kentsomers
Potter, a LT in college, has worked at both positions in practice. #azcardinals
Some may think it's overdue, regardless, looks like Nate will see action somepoint soon. I would hope it's at LT for Batiste.

Wasn't Potter considered light by NFL Tackle standards? Most say you want your Tackles around 315 lbs... He was 300 at the combine but maybe he gained some weight working with Lott... _________________

| Whiz could then use the bye week to get him more oriented into the first team and ready for the Falcons. Or he could throw him into the fire against Clay Matthews and use the bye week to fix Potter's mistake. Not sure which would be best for his development. |

It wasn't a question of weight, it was a question of strength. Needed to crash the weight room.
HIGHLY DOUBT the kid's ready but we're desperate, so... _________________

I doubt his strength has increased enough to counter NFL bull rushes, but am hoping his feet and hand skills are fast enough to utilize a DE's momentum to deflect enough past the pocket. Basically, do enough to stay in the way without winding up on his butt. _________________

He's not very quick afoot. Better than Batiste I'm sure but it pretty much ends there IMO. _________________

I want to see the kid. Want to see what he can do. He was a very good pass protector in college and while he lacks that strength, he is a good directional blocker and seems like savvy guy.
Have to see what we have this year before investing big time this offseason. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

I think we might use him as a third wheel and make a rotation between the three. that way we'd at least have fresher bodies in the game more often _________________

I would have thought he would have been further along than Potter too but I guess not. _________________

I don't blame you but Kelemete has been inactive all year. Potter has been active for every game. Kelemete must be really far behind, because even when Snyder was inactive, so was Kelemete. _________________

The thing with Kelemete is that he was a collegiate tackle making the move to guard in the NFL. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
