I don't blame you but Kelemete has been inactive all year. Potter has been active for every game. Kelemete must be really far behind, because even when Snyder was inactive, so was Kelemete. |
Darren Urban today reflecting that by saying Kelemete is much further down the depth chart.
I'm interested in seeing Potter because coming out, they said he was a possibly top college prospect at the position except for an injury suffered.
As I think Khodder may have pointed out before, he didn't give up much for sacks in college. Might as well play the kid and see what we have or where he is in development. If he panned out, Levi could go to RT.. |

This will probably prove whether he can be a legit backup LT next year...
Sign Vollmer
Draft Barrett Jones in the 2nd & another Guard in the 3rd
Tell Batiste & Snyder to GTFO
---Brown---Colledge----Jones-----Rookie-----Vollmer
---(Potter)---(Jones)----(Sendlein)---(Kelemete)--(Massie)---
Nice starting 5 and decent depth. Still could use our 1st on a defensive player... _________________

Personally doubt Barrett Jones makes it out of the 1st round. He's just too versatile. _________________

Agreed. Too much going for him. 4 year starter, versatile, smart. Definite first round pick. _________________

We'll be picking in the early 2nd. Maybe he drops or we could trade back from our 1st... _________________

No just draft Eric Fisher (if Joeckel isnt available) Round 1
Fisher-Colledge-Sendlein-Snyder-Brown
realistically. If it were up to me Snyder and maybe Sendlein would be out |

I think we'll make a statement regarding the OL in free agency. We have cap room as it stands and could create more by cutting guys who don't even play. Signing a guy like Albert or Vollmer wouldn't prevent us from drafting a Tackle in the 1st unless we keep Levi.
I don't think the Pats will re-sign Vollmer but they could franchise him... _________________

Vollmer will cost an arm and a leg that we cannot afford, nice to dream though.
Albert is interesting, wonder if KC blow it all up and start again.
Easier resigning Levi, drafting Jones in the first to play C, Worford or Cooper in the second to play RG and have a line of Brown - Colledge - Jones - Worford and Massie.
It is a bigger more physical line that we have atm.
After that i dont mind who we draft. |

We can afford Vollmer. B Jones in the 1st? I like him but we're probably picking top 10... _________________

I like Jones but His versatile is limited to college. He may know how to play LT and RT but I don't see him being athletic enough to play those spots in the NFL. Center is his best position in the NFL and Whiz and them seem to like there current Center. All so Jones is a late 1st round pick and would not be surprised if he drops to the 2nd after the combine. _________________

I view Jones as a better version of the Bills' Levitre. Last year due to injuries, Levitre not only played his LG spot, but LT & C as well. (He did well at LT, but stunk up the joint at C) I think Jones could play outside to cover injuries, especially on the right side, but at this point I don't know that I'd want him playing as a T all season. I'd like the FO to draft Jones to play RG initially and eventually take over Sendlein's spot at C. _________________

Jones could come in and start at right tackle tomorrow for a lot of NFL teams and start well. Athletically, he's not far off Jake Matthews or Taylor Lewan. _________________

Great to hear! Gives even more ammo for my claim that he is worthy of a mid-1st round selection...hopefully ours! _________________

Barrett Jones is a very underrated player. I'm sure some of that has to do with the fact that he's bounced around a lot position wise and people can't directly peg him for 1 spot but I'm telling you, this kid is very, very good. _________________
