I like that we got a 4th rounder out of this, but I bet he becomes an all-universe-galaxy-tankbeast with the Pats. _________________

Technically a 4th is what allowed us to get Martin and David. _________________

Is Talib better playing man or zone? Press or off?
Give us as detailed a scouting report as possible. _________________

I really don't know what to think of this. I am glad we got a 4th, but this is just crazy. _________________ Adopt a Buc:

Can't believe we got a fourth for him. I can't wait to see how we manipulate the draft with an extra pick. _________________

Give us as detailed a scouting report as possible. | To be honest, overall in his career he is about equally the same. He can be a good press CB at times against WR's that are smaller than him. Against bigger WR's he is no good though. If he plays off he is going to get beat on quick slants, hitches, etc.... And if he plays off coverage against smaller WR's, he will get beat deep his long speed sucks. He is adequate in zone and takes a lot of gambles. Good ball skills if in position to make plays.
Solid trade for Tampa. Get a 4th for a guy who is on the last year of his deal and was not coming back anyway. You can bank on us signing a veteran CB this off-season. I'm hoping Grimes or Houston and we draft a young CB to groom. This could be a great pickup for the Patriots too. Talib is just inconsistent but if utilized properly he can be a top 15 CB and he's still relatively young. I'd try to re-sign Talib if I'm NE; he's not going to cost much vs his actual ability. |

If us Bucs fans aren't jumping up and down for this then you are doing it wrong. Love this deal. Look what MD did with a 4th last year. _________________

My father (a big Patriots fan) just informed me of this and I couldn't be more elated. Sure it's a bigger blow to our CB depth, but he's sucked this year anyway. I'm glad we're getting something for him, especially a 4th! It'll probably hurt our playoff chances for this season, but honestly, with or without him I don't think it matters.
It also shows that the coaching staff has some faith that either Biggers or Johnson or both can be starting-caliber players. This is a good year to find that out too. With all the injuries and suspensions, I started having more doubt about a playoff push, so with this move, some will be upset about the timing, but I think it's the perfect time.
Dominik's a genius too. Think about it, we gave up Kellen Winslow for a 7th-round pick, which many called a bad trade. But we ended up getting rid of that bum and now that idiot Talib, and turned that pick into a 4th-rounder. That also gives us more firepower to trade up in the draft if we see a player we really like that might not fall to us. This year, I'm giving Dominik an A- for his managerial skills. The only think holding from an A+ is the Eric Wright contract. _________________

great move today guys...getting a 4th round pick for a player who was only under contract for 8 more weeks...one of which he will suspended for. not bad...not bad at all.
the Pats need help at corner so its not a bad deal for them either, but if i were a buc fan I would thrilled today.
adios. _________________

Pretty much. Talib wasn't going to be here at the end of the year anyway and we got a 4th rounder for him. I'm stunned. _________________
