Here is the key quote in which i have a problem with.
| Quote: | | He’s been here 10 years, he’s started virtually every game. So I understand where they are coming from. |
Look i appreciate Diehl services as a giant but c'mon you cant put back a guy because he is a favourite and because of his loyalty. You play somebody based on their level of play, not based on loyalty and appreciation. Locklear is much better than Diehl. _________________

I read somewhere that Locklear has given up twice as many pressures as the rest of the line combined. I haven't been paying attention, but that probably makes this decision that much easier for the coaches. _________________

I think it is just confounding that the line started playing better when Locklear got in. Snee, Beatty are playing great. Baas, besides a few messed up snaps, is playing well. Boothe is too. The line's success should be contributed to them, not Locklear. We shouldn't see much of a drop, if any, with Diehl back starting. He was getting a ton of snaps as a heavy TE in the run packages anyway. Those are the plays when we get a ton of yards as well. _________________

Let me give you my personal opinion, on what I think has happened.
It all started with the release of the coke machine in Brandon Jacobs. |

Yep not happy about this either. At this point in his career he makes for good depth but he's no longer starter material. Wasn't the the worst rated lineman in the league last year? _________________

leadership on the line ... wish it wasn't against the Steelers though
All I can ask from him is to keep pressure off of eli and make a good enough hole for Ahmad to get 3-4 yards. _________________

If this is true I don't think we can get much worse? _________________

Actually it can get worse, Lamarr Woodley is going to have a field day on sunday. Diehl is over the hill. _________________

Is he the worst NFL player right now? After what I saw today, I think he's gotta be the frontrunner for this title... _________________

I know I saw a study or stat rating the lineman and he was dead last in the league among the starters. _________________

That wont happen. We couldve dont it this past draft but we didnt. Look at my post above, Diehl is playing not because that he is better than locklear, it is out of loyalty and is somewhat that the vocal leader on our offense. _________________

Deihl was terrible yesterday. Maybe rust, maybe the fact that he went up against Woodley, but Eli got harassed. _________________
