Maybe but that sounds very risky considering his age and his lack of pro experience at the position. Even if he looks good for the rest of the season, it'll be only 3/4 of a season to base a decision on. |
Very true. I think Huff is a good fit at CB in our new defense, but like you said, that's a lot of money to commit to an unproven player. I guess it just depends on how highly the coaching and front office views his short term potential. I wouldn't be surprised if Huff is moved back to FS later in the season if Bartell and Spencer are healthy.

People have been saying that for 2 seasons now . . . Not that I think he's good but I'm also ready for an upgrade also.

Big test for Huff this weekend. We will get to see how much he has really improved.
Also I dont think Adams has done very well. He gave up some big plays latley. Especially for a guy fighting for playing time. Lee has improved also so I am good with him.
Still dont understand why we didnt bring Underwood back when he got over the injury. I thought he did really good in the pre-season. I think he could fight Gio for playing time at FS. |

Huffy's really been holding his own, makes me proud to see him get some success. I think his future is at CB. But I think we still have a need at CB even if Huff sticks as a starter. Bartell has yet to prove anything other than the fact that he has an exploding shoulder. Hanson and Lee are good depth but probably not starting material.

I think Bartell will be activated of the IR this week. He started practicing last Saturday I believe. We can move Lee back down to 4th on the depth chart. We really could have used him this week vs Jackson but I'm just glad he's back.

You know what, I think I am over Huff at any position. We can find a way to do better. He's up, he's down, he's good, he's bad. He has no position where he excels, and he's never consistent. Being with or without him won't make or break this D, it's been 8 years now. Pat Lee is as good a corner as him and he's a street FA. Giordano is no better or worse a FS and he's another, street FA. Why pay a guy 10 mil and wait for him to break out for almost a decade when you can just sign a random guy for pennies to do just as good any time you want.
Time to move on. |

I LOVE IT!!!! The guy has made his millions, so it's not like I'm laughing at a guy who's down. I recall him saying in a twitter post to Kevin Boss something along the lines of "Dude! Congrats! Welcome to KC, we're getting paid by 2 teams this season! Raiders Suck."
