Starting Lineups
Denver Starting Lineup-
WR Demaryius Thomas
LT Ryan Clady
LG Zane Beadles
C Dan Koppen
RG Chris Kuper
RT Orlando Franklin
TE Joel Dreessen
WR Eric Decker
QB Peyton Manning
FB Chris Gronkowski
RB Willis McGahee
LDE Derek Wolfe
DT Kevin Vickerson
NT Justin Bannan
RDE Elvis Dumervil
SLB Von Miller
MLB Keith Brooking
WLB Wesley Woodyard
LCB Champ Bailey
RCB Tracy Porter
SS Mike Adams
FS Rahim Moore
New Orleans Starting Lineup-
QB- Drew Brees
RB- Pierre Thomas
FB- John Collins
WR1- Marques Colston
WR2- Devery Henderson
TE- Jimmy Graham
LT- Jermon Bushrod
LG- Ben Grubbs
C-Brian de le Puente
RG- Jahri Evans
RT- Zach Strief
LE- Cameron Jordan
DT- Brodrick Bunkley
DT- Sedrick Ellis
RE- Will Smith
SLB- Scott Shanle
MLB- Curtis Lofton
WLB- David Hawthorne
CB-Jabari Greer
CB- Patrick Robinson
FS- Malcolm Jenkins
SS- Roman Harper
Key Matchups-
Jacob Tamme/Joel Dressen vs Roman Harper/Malcolm Jenkins/Linebacking Core- The Saints LBs aren't very good in pass coverage and neither is Roman Harper. I think our TEs will be a big part of this game.
Drew Brees vs Denver Pass Rush- I think our Pass Rush needs to get after Brees. No doubt he will get his yards but we can't break. I trust Peyton in a shootout but I'd rather not be in one. I think our D can step up big time this game.
Willis McGahee vs Saints Run Defense- The Saints have the 2nd worst run defense in the league. I think Willis will post the best numbers out of all of our offensive skill players.
Prediction- Denver 35, Saints 17. _________________

Our offensive lineup is stellar. But our LB's , and our D-line is still mediocre at best. Hopefully Brookings veteran experience is good for something and not just getting burned on a consistent basis. |

If Graham is hurt, this game is even easier. Even if he's healthy, I can't imagine we don't take this one. For one, NO is awful on defense. TB shredded them and VJax put up what, 220+? I expect both our WRs and Willis to have a good day. Brees and the Saints historically have struggled on grass too so that helps.
Denver 35

i think graham will not be playing in this one. even if he does play he wont be a factor in the passing game |

This game and the next three should tell us a lot. Three out of our next four are played against teams in "must win" situations. We should beat them, but can't afford to play anything but our best.
SD, NO and Cinncinnati have their backs to the wall and a loss to Denver would virtually eliminate all 3 from playoff contention. Plan on getting their best. |

That's what I was hoping to see.
Way to be the bringer of bad news, Jersey. _________________

So does that mean Moreno is behind Lance Ball now?
Well Joe Mays isn't going to be in Orange next year
Is he worse than Virgil Green? I know that Tamme and Dreessen are our two TE's but is Thomas worse than Green? _________________

Moreno isn't even active on gameday, he's definitely behind Lance.
I agree Mays won't be here.
Virgil Green is a good blocking TE, IMO, and if they used him more he'd be a nice threat in some packages. Thomas has shown nothing. _________________

How did Julius Thomas go from impressing everyone at his first camp to a complete non factor. I wonder what went wrong here. Some of the early comparisons to Gates were obviously unfair to him.3 Presently, it seems he may not even make the team next year. Shame. I had high hopes for him. The question is whether he has been given playing time to show what he can do. Same with Irving. I dont see how Irving can be any worse than Brookings.
Back to Tight End- are Driessen, Tami and Green enough? Do we draft another TE next year? |

We just signed him to a 3 year extension. We will get a replacement at MLB, but if anything, Brooking will retire before Mays leaves. _________________ The situation is hopeless, but not serious. |
