Wasn't McNeil projected to be a first round pick as well? Then the medical condition pushed him to the middle of the second round..
Could this push Jones to the second round? and, for the sake of argument, if he did, would everyone here reconsider drafting him? Even if he can only play for 5 years? _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

Sure, but we don't have a 2nd round pick. _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

I know, its was more a theoretical question. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

I assumed everyone knew this already. He found out about the injury after making a tackle against Oregon.
USC doctors wouldn't even let this kid practice, not to mention play in games, once they found out about the condition. They let him walk out the door instead of taking on the liability. USC medical staff advices him to quit football!!
Oh and it appears the issue is in his neck too!

I trust the doctors. Reading a few Internet articles on stenosis and using one example of stenosis shortening a career is not enough for me to write off Jarvis Jones. I'm still hopeful of him getting clearance from the docs. It's really just blind hope, though, I must admit.
But to answer your hypothetical, no, if we only got 5 years out of Jones, I wouldn't spend a high 2nd on him. _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.
