YUP, RB's are a dime a dozen. Good RB's on the other hand....... _________________

| Doesn't he have stones for hands and gets lost in pass protection? No thanks. |

But have heard anything along those lines and heard he might be back within a few weeks. The Pack liked Benson and Rodgers likes Benson. So really don't see us making a move for a RB with moving a draft pick. It sounds nice and gives us all something to talk about but after not getting lynch the other year, don't really see us getting anyone now.....again unless Benson has a setback and looks like he won't return this year. |
I think you are right. If we didn't have Benson in the wings then TT would make a trade. _________________

I thought BR was a fan site. No insiders or pro writers.
I like it, tho mostly.
Separate thought:
I knew TT was picking Defense this last draft.
he shored up the offense and tweaked Special Teams the years before
and It was no surprise to me that all the picks went to the D side.
I don't know what to expect coming up.
I'm sure there will be holes to fill but the RB position....?
that is a needed position?
Alex Green 2 yards- 3rd round
James Starks 3 yards-6th round
Ced Ben 4 yards-FA
(I made up these yard numbers to represent how I look at the RBs)
I know that Alex Green is good for 2 yards and an occassional break off run. Starks is midrange. CBensen almost always gains good yardage.
they all have different, nuanced strengths and weaknesses and I'm sure
MM will break it down. Like the different tooled TE position people...
here is what I was wondering:
How high does TT draft a RB?
If all those guys are hurt or (i hope not) produce less
When does TT draft a RB?
Will he ever draft an RB higher than a 3rd round?
GB has decent RBs, The need isn't glaring.
If we had a dynamic runner it takes the pressure off everyone else,
that is also evident. It's like a perfect storm to
make sure there will never be a high pick or sought after RB
with TT. I am not complaining though. simply wondering about it.
In the meantime we will wait for a break out season from someone.
In that respect all the RBs can be lumped into one general ball of non production. _________________
