Please look in the Luck/Tannehill thread and Dolphins9954 claims Luck wasn't even the best prospect in this draft.

He wasn't. He was safer prospect. RG3 is just as gifted as a passer, or if he isn't he is damn close. RG3 also has helped his team as an explosive runner.

While the d looked horrible today, the offense also only managed 20 points... also lame. We got lots of work to do, and lots of upgrades to make.

Terrible game, Long played like a rookie, Sean Smith had butter on his hands, DBs got burned all the way around. They kept saying we woild make playoffs with our record, well another fact we are not ready, also we couldnt get Luck Colts werent giving him up, those 4 games we won last season ruined that shot, i said it last season sacrifice a busted season for the better of the future. So stop crying about Luck now if u want to cry about RG3 then go ahead we could of gotten him..

The fact is Luck tore apart our Defense and we dropped 3 INTs. Puts the team back to reality that we still got a long way to go...

We lost by 3. It's not that big of a deal- we know our pass D needs work- but don't forget that he threw the ball a hell of a lot because our run D played so well early on.

Still, the defenders need to make more plays on the ball with a few miscues by Luck. And Tannehill played well, but couldn't make the throws that counted in the end.

Plus, that holding call on the Thigpen return was a joke.

This was Luck's best game so far. I doubt he plays like this every week. None the less our defense was a piece of [inappropriate/removed]. Sean Smith, I'm looking at you. 3rd and 20's WTF? Our running game and oline were also bad. The score should have been a lot worse than it was. Nothing we can do now except hope we beat up on Tennessee. I think if we lose that game then we are done as far as playoff aspirations go.

Positives? Tannehill played well. That's about it.

1st Observation
Wow, I find it hard to believe that some crappy team wouldn't offer up a 3rd & a 5th for Jake Long.
On that note, I can't believe it when I hear Ireland say that Jake Long will remain a Dolphin.

2nd Observation
If we are going to play this "vanilla Zone Pass coverage" BS we MUST draft an Elite Pass rusher with the 1st pk this coming draft.

I believe we are all in agreeance that this is a QB/Passing led NFL, therefore ...
We barely put pressure on Luck today, un acceptable & was without question the biggest
contributing factor in the Loss today.

I credit Luck for what & who he is but allowing 433 something Off yds is a complete Deff collapse when we
basically shut the running gm down in the 1st half.

1st rnd pk - Sack specialist
2nd rnd pk A - LT
2nd rnd pk B - TE
3rd rnd pk A - WR
4th rnd pk B OLG
5TH rnd pk - WR

We lost the game now everyone thinks the sky is falling yeah ok. If you thought we were a contender then that was your fault in the first place. We are a rebuilding team who has a very promising QB and we are ahead of schedule.. 2 young great Qb's were on display today

I'm still interested in what we would get offered in a trade.

Time to start looking at LT's in the first round of next year's draft guys.

The only way I'd go 1st round is if the guy we draft can play both sides and guard. If not, we don't need 1st round talent to fit this scheme. Moving Martin to LT and drafting a RT who can play multiple spots on the line.

What in God's name happened to him???

Switching to ZBS was hell on his injuries. It was gonna be hard enough for him to play this scheme. Asking him to do so in pain is not fair.

Still, Miami had every ability to win this game if their DB's had any ball hawking ability whatsoever. We droppped two INT's, and gave up a TD on another play that should have been an INT if they could just find the ball int he air. Then of course having that holding call that was a mother Fing terrrrrrible call at the end there. What in god's name was the ref looking at there? Suddenly knocking a guy on the ground is a hold??? I'm still so pissed about that cause this game would have gone to overtime if it wasn't for that bleeping moron who calls himself a ref!?!?!?!?!?

YEah the refs and Dbs did have a noticeable impact on the game.

Give it up dude. Andrew Luck was the consensus best QB prospect in the draft by everyone who matters.

All due respect, the time to trade him was last yr and since then that opportunity came & went.

I wouldn't bring JL back unless he were to take a pay cut & accept being moved to another position.

One thing we should all agree on is jake long is toast right now. I stated back after week 4 that I was going to reserve my judgment for awhile but that time has come

Admittedly, I only saw today what was shown on the redzone but I think you guys are over-performing. I wasn't sold on Philbin after watching hard knocks and was definitely thinking you would be offensively challenged with those WR's but I think you guys are playing pretty well for what you have. I like Tannehill a lot.

I said it at the beginning of this thread: it is almost impossible for teams playing back-to-back road games to win the 2nd after winning the first. That's just the hard stats. It's not time to panic. We have a shot at a wildcard birth still, and even if we don't make the playoffs, we are heading in the right direction. Bush is amazing, Tanny is turning out to be a great investment, and our special teams are awesome! I'm excited to be a Dolphin fan again. It's a great feeling I haven't felt since Sparano's first year.

Oh yeah, AND WE HUMILIATED THE JETS LAST WEEK!!! We could lose out the remainder of the year and I would still smile as I reflected on Rex Ryan's postgame interview!

I for one never said anything about any type of Playoff aspirations as I'm certain ... we ain't goin.

All the credit to Andrew Luck & the Colts in their victory.

For me this has nothing to do with "The Sky is falling", this is about taking a step back, playing poorly.

We didn't deserve to win today.

It doesn't matter if we lose this game but it does matter that we play well. This has been our worst performance so far, worse than the Texans game, and worse than both of our OT losses. "We were not gonna make the playoffs anyway" is no excuse to play so poorly defensively.
