Wow! Y'all are ruthless! Lol!
I care about MeMo. He wasn't a Hall of Famer, but he was serviceable. Hopefully he gets picked up somewhere. He could still contribute on 3rd downs, IMO.

Its not about being "ruthless" at all.
But do we need a thread every time a former Steeler gets cut or traded?
Its not a big deal, but MM is far from a notable former Steeler.

With this team's propensity to re-up our former players...maybe.
Sadly, no doubt, but maybe since that lingering possibility always seems to exist.

Well, if we ended up signing him, then the thread is definitely worth posting. In this case however, there is no way I could see that being a possibility, especially with our backs now just starting to get healthy. If they brought him in, they would likely have to release another back, and Batch is the only one I think they would consider, but they like his potential too.
I dunno....guess I shouldnt have said anything, but I just dont think it warrants its own thread. If it was a player that would help us in some way, Id get it. Moore has little left to offer any team.

I hear ya, but after the Pope/Saunders decision you've got to think there's an outside shot someone in the organization wants Moore over Batch.
I guess I just want guys like Moore and Kemo to stay signed so they don't tempt this FO to bring'em back.

I didn't at all have a problem with the post. I care about MeMo too! Hey MeMo, if you are out there listening, thanks for playing your role to the best of your ability while you were here as a Steeler!
I don't at all mind an occasional thread about a former Steeler, its not like there is one every week. But some people get annoyed, so maybe there can be a notice/warning with each post, e.g.:
Memo is cut (IGNORE IF YOU DON"T CARE!)
Or if that doesn't work, an ongoing thread on former Steelers, even minor ones. Which some posters could just pass over. |
