Plenty to talk about this week vs. manufactured "news" like this, but debate provoking nonetheless:

Watt & Duane Brown make their list.

My thoughts:

While there is merit to recognizing Lynch's season, Foster has 6 more TDs in one less game than Lynch while averaging only 1 less yard per game. Usually, Foster's receiving totals put him over the top in close calls like this, but he hasn't been used much in the passing game this year.

Gronk will be the All-Pro TE, but OD deserves a Pro Bowl nod this year over Heath Miller. OD is on pace for his best season and may finally crack 1,000 yards. Please stay healthy OD.

Chris Myers. I am so friggin sick of these overrated Pouncey brothers. No NFL C is more integral to his teams success than Chris Myers to the Texans. If you are going to give credit to the Pouncey brothers for helping overcome deficiencies elsewhere on the line, please evaluate the resumes of Texan starters named Newton & Caldwell with an unprecedented rotation including Jones and street FA Ryan Harris. The Texas have given up fewer sacks than anyone in the AFC and are 4th in rushing. Dolphins are nowhere close.

Wade Smith - he's not at All Pro status, but it's high time he got some credit for his role in best left side in the NFL. Duane Brown was a middling LT before Wade stabilized inside protection so Duane could focus his athleticism on stopping the outside speed rush.

Brian Cushing - no he doesn't deserve it, but if they are going to acknowledge Sean Lee, they need to acknowledge Cushing who does every single aspect of the game better than Lee including captaining the best defense, not a middling one that got gashed by Seattle, Chicago, NY, and Baltimore.

I can't quibble with any of the other picks on defense, but I do think Antonio Smith, Johnathan Joseph, Daniel Manning, and (gulp) Kareem Jackson should be in line for Pro Bowl consideration before all is said and done.

GM of the year HAS to be Rick Smith. Denver made the playoffs last year with Tim Tebow, so forgive me if securing short-term gains by paying Peyton Manning $96 million qualifies as "brilliant" while Rick managed to keep a nucleus together with long-term deals with Foster, Schaub, Brown, and Myers while having the balls to shed Mario Williams and have the personnel in place for a defense that is even better than last year. Drafting Von Miller at #2 didn't require "genius", drafting JJ Watt at #10 over Amukamara and Fairley did. The Broncos continue to start McGahee because Moreno was a bust and Hillman has shown nothing, while we continue to have the best back in the AFC because we pay attention to the bottom of the roster with UDFAs and the practice squad. The Broncos pay Joel Dreessen $8.5 when we had him at the minimum and slide middle rounders like Casey and Graham up the chart to replace him. The Broncos sign Tracy Porter who gets torched by Kevin Walter while we sign Johnathan Joseph and faith and development Kareem Jackson even looks to have finally paid off. Hell, he even managed to replace our kicking battery with street free agents and not miss a beat.
