Could you imagine if this game had higher stakes? Would you want your coach to be the guy who is too afraid to challenge the other team?
Rivera's idea of keeping everything in front of you means playing cover 4, with the safeties starting 30 yards deep. Cutler didn't have any intention of going deep, so essentially he didn't have to worry about the safeties at all. Every receiver they had was 1-1 with a clean release of the LOS.
What the hell? The Bears needed 60-70 yards in 2 minutes. Did a Bears receiver even run a sideline route? They got down there with plenty to spare.

You're the guy who is supposed to make them do that, Ronald. This is the guy who can't handle pressers. He take no blame at all. He stands by every stupid decision he makes and said it could've worked. |

That quote just made me a little mad again. Our corners have been playing like that during his entire time here in Carolina. Now all of a sudden you expect them to play tighter. Rivera should have established that a long time ago. _________________

Smartest thing i've heard all season.
The whole coaching staff must go. After yesterday's game it is very very clear now that we have major coaching issues. If Godfrey and Munnerlyn can tell that what they're being told isn't working, than you've got big problems.
Anybody watching that game could tell that we were playing way too soft on that final drive. And Rivera's comment is just the icing on the cake.
The question now is, do we fire Rivera during the season or wait until the end?
Maybe we should bring in Brett Favre to coach the team. Atleast we'd be able to laugh a little bit. _________________

That is funny because Rivera said yesterday he wanted them to play off and keep the ball in front of them in case of the double move. |

Rivera's an idiot. He should be fired now, Chud should be the Interim HC and then everyone let go at the end of the year. _________________

yeah giving chud the ability to do whatever he wants on offense is terrifying. it would only be a matter of time before 87% of our plays were out of the single wing _________________
