I like Cook. I had us signing him in free agency in my last mock. Kid has a lot of talent but needs to put it together. However I really don't want to trade for him except for maybe a 6th rounder. Than only if he signs before the trade. Watson is most likely gone next year anyways.

Agreed
I just don't see why he is relevant when bringing up acquiring another TE.
Right now we have an old man one hit from retirement, Alex Smith and a kid who is in his 2nd year of a new sport.
Not saying Cameron can't be good, but for a fair price, i'd love to have cook. |

I'd be in for Cook for a late rounder, maybe a conditional pick?
Watson isn't in our long term plans and Alex Smith is a backup at best. Cameron is an unknown commodity.
I'm all for upgrading in any and all ways.

I think TE may be our only real position of need outside of another guard. I think Camron has promise, but Weeden has rarely thrown to TE's, at least not much relative to what we are use to seeing in Cleveland.
If we could get a top 10-15 TE, I bet it would have a huge impact on our offense!
