I am not seeing the attraction. I don't see an up grade over Watson or Cameron.
Help me out here what am I missing? _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I think he is easily a top 10 TE in the nfl right now. |
Easily?
He's put up Benjamin Watson like numbers over the last two seasons, will need a contract extension and is barking to get off a bad team.
He's a young talent so I would take a flier on him, but I'm not going to sell the house to get him. _________________

No. Cameron has a lot of potential and Cook is set to become a free agent. It would suck if the Browns weren't able to resign him and they lost both him and Cameron.
Anyway, I think Cook is very talented but he hasn't lived up to his potential. I'm not sure how much I'd give up for him since he's set to become a free agent. If the asking price was a 5th-round pick or less, then I would pull the trigger. If it's more, then I say no thanks. If the Browns really want him, then try to sign him in the offseason. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee

No thanks. Too inconsistant.
We can find better players in the draft. _________________

I'll pass.
And usually, mid season trades net higher draft picks for players b/c a draft pick is less valuable at this time of year ala Edwards and Roy Williams trades. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

Not interested. I actually like Alex Smith a lot, he is becoming a decent all around TE. Smith isnt a playmaker like Graham, Gronk or VD, but he does his job. Cameron is coming around. And Ben Watson is fine too.
Seems like a luxury move at this point. Now if we could land a safety to spell Usama Young, I'd be interested. _________________

No, Smith is not. He's a above average blocker. average receiver. Very smart football player. Oh, and knows the WCO inside and out.
Cook is extremely overrated. And is one dimensional. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

| I'd give a 6th, maybe a 5th, but that's about it. Good receiving threat, but we already have that type of player in Cameron |

if he was all those things than why the hell isnt he our starting TE because Watson is a below avg blocker, an ok receiver and doesnt know the offense as well as smith.
smith is garbage, 21 career games, he only has 1 TD. if he is such a stud in the WCO like you say than he would of been relied upon more. IMO he is garbage!!! |

I'd pass, Cook won't do anything but take minutes from Cameron and cost us a draft pick. He's Ben Watson with a larger price tag. _________________

Bulldog, we agree on most things, but Alex Smith is trash.
He's a semi-decent FB, but he is not a good TE.
If Alex Smith is holding us back from trading for a legit TE, then we have a problem. _________________

You guys are taking what I'm saying out of context.
Candy nailed what I'm trying to say.
I also never said he was a stud..... c'mon Buno. I'm just saying as far as where to be and what to do, he's knows the WCO.
He's not physically gifted. But he's a good blocker and OK receiver. Which I think would be good attributes to have as a third TE. He's quality depth, but would be very subpar as a starter.
Its the top end of the depth chart that needs upgraded at TE. Thats not what Cook would do. He's a more experienced Jordan Cameron. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

Agreed
I just don't see why he is relevant when bringing up acquiring another TE.
Right now we have an old man one hit from retirement, Alex Smith and a kid who is in his 2nd year of a new sport.
Not saying Cameron can't be good, but for a fair price, i'd love to have cook. _________________
