MD Jennings is a scrub... and it's looking more and more likely Woodson will retire. I really like McDonald's aggressiveness, he has great range, and is just what your secondary has been missing since Collins. Jury is even still out on Burnett, whose shown he can tackle, but the guy isn't exactly big play material... he's had 2 turnovers and 0 sacks in his last 20+ games... So I like S to the Pack. | Why are you calling a guy who is a rotational player a scrub? So we should draft a safety to be a mediocre rotational guy? Jerron McMillian will be our long term safety and Burnett is solid and as some real play making ability. No need for a safety. |
That's weak... so is MD Jennings. Woodson's retiring. The pack have a need a Safety whether you'd like to believe it or not. _________________

I'm not making this mock based on who you want, I truly believe Pagano & Co. would select Hankins in that situation...He is currently BPA at that spot and a position of need for the Colts. _________________

Thanks man. Almost went Te'o there, but I feel the development and maturity of Ponder is priority #1. They need a #1 WR. _________________

Or OG (our biggest need) and Warmack also goes just after. We need to protect Luck and get pressure more than we need a 3-4 end. _________________

| Like the Browns pick. Montgomery is starting to become my favorite defensive player in this draft, not that high on Mingo though. |

Yeah, desperately. My ideal Viking's draft would look like this:
1st- OL Barrett Jones BAMA
2nd- WR Da'rick Rogers TTU
3rd- MLB Michael Mauti PSU
4th- DT Josh Boyd MSU
4th- CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson UCONN
5th- DE Devin Taylor USC
6th- WR Ryan Swope TAMU
6th- OG Travis Bond UNC |

Love Damontre Moore. Would definitely be better than any QB available. _________________

You have to consider that Spielman is a Notre Dame homer though... He loves his golden domers and I'm sure Te'o is at the top of the list. Last year WR was a top need and they didn't address it until the 4th round, and now we are paying the price. If Te'o is available, I think Rick selects him and goes WR in the second.
Personally, Hunter isn't the guy I want the Vikings taking. He is a tremendous athlete, but seems to lack focus as I have seen him drop to many balls lately. I would rather them wait until the second anyways for a WR or trade back a couple spots and select Terrance Williams. Just one man's opinions though! _________________

Interesting... I assumed because you guys ran a 4-3 he would have his hand in the dirt. But with a guy like Jarvis, he can play either position, and probably will depending on the situation. |
Yeah, i'd be really happy with Jarvis Jones for the Jaguars.
And as mentioned, he'd probably see snaps as both an OLB and essentially at DE in some situations. I think with a player with those sort of gamebreaking qualities, you find a way to get him on the field, doing what he does best. And he has the athletic ability to offer a lot of versatility.
Pretty good mock overall as well i thought. One of the better 1-round mocks i've seen. Hard to find a pick that doesn't make sense, lots of picks filling needs and look like good value slot wise. A few of the later picks are maybe a bit more questionable, but well done overall. Good work. |
