Does anyone see Matt Elam as a fs?

Am I the only one that thinks Jones would be better suited as a SAM in a 43?

I don't think he has the strength or complete athleticism to light it up as a 34 backer. He won't be able to take on guards and tackles in the NFL. However, in a 43, he wouldn't have to.

Jarvis Jones does seem like a logical selection. This defense could use a big time playmaker/pass rusher. I love D'qwell, but adding some speed next to him would be pretty big for us. How is he against the run? Looking at his highlights, I don't see much other than him rushing the quarterback.

If we pick #2, I'd throw up if we took a cornerback. I agree with everyone that we need one, but that's just not a good investment that high in the draft. Just my opinion on that.

It's a long time between now and the draft. So, who knows the players that might emerge. Wherever we are, we need to go BPA (unless we are already dynamite at that position ... not sure how many players on the roster would qualify for that though). If the BPA happens to be a position of great need, that's a serious bonus.

Anywhere we want.

He's not Ted Washington

Dude could play either of the spots in the middle and would dominate.

So who hits the bench Taylor or Rubin?

Rotation.

With Taylor coming off that injury, and the fact that Rubin isn't an everydown guy, I have no problem drafting him.

He would be straight up the most disruptive guy in the draft, IMO.

I know we have Wynn and Hughes as well, but i honestly think Star would be our best Dlineman from day 1. I think he is THAT good.

I understand people will disagree because we have more quality depth on the dline than any other position, but I just think he would be a force.

If they go after star they NEED to switch to the 34 or a hybrid just get all the talent on the field at the same time.

Say sign Connor Barwin too and you would have a nasty D

Are you putting Star at DE or NT?

Taylor-Rubin-Star

Sheard-Jackson-?-Barwin

I really think Star would dominate as a DT in a 4-3 as well.

I don't wanna hear any more talk about a 3-4. Laughing

hey brought up star, a hybrid or 34 is the only justification IMO to drafting him.
