Adrian Peterson
Jared Allen
Percy Harvin
Matt Kalil
Chad Greenway
If Harrison Smith can finish with 5+ interceptions, or a few more big plays, I think he'll be a solid candidate. _________________

I would not take Levy over Greenway, and Briggs is the only other linebacker on your list that is an outside linebacker. Willis, Bowman, Urlacher, Lee, and Laurinaitis are all middle linebackers.
The only Outside Linebackers in the NFC that I would take over Chad Greenway would be Sean Weatherspoon and Lance Briggs. |
have you watched levy play...the guy is everywhere..and can cover, athletic and can stand up at point of attack
okay then how about these all listed with greenway as olb
clay matthews
aldon smith
demarcus ware
luke kuechley
realize they are 3-4 d still listed as outside backers....first three are the pro bowl starters |

3-4 OLB's and 4-3 OLBs aren't even comparable, but nice try. And Keuchly is playing inside, and still isn't as good as Greenway right now.
And as for Levy, PFF has Levy as the 32nd ranked OLB, whereas Greenway is #9. He out does him in every single catagory; coverage, pass rush, run stopping, penalty, etc. _________________

Likely
Adrian Peterson (still one of the best)
Percy Harvin (KR if not WR, legitimate contender for league MVP)
Matt Kalil
Harrison Smith (strong DROY candidate as well)
Other strong possibilities:
Jared Allen (having an unspectacular season)
Antoine Winfield (still impressing)
Chad Greenway (good but not great) _________________

Prediction: If Antoine Winfield stays healthy, he will be a Pro Bowler. _________________

Here's the past several years:
2011 - Ryan Kalil, Scott Wells
2010 - Andres Gurode, Shaun O'Hara, Ryan Kalil
2009 - same as 2010
2008 - Gurode and O'Hara
2007 - Gurode and Birk
With both Gurode and O'Hara out of the league or retired and Kalil and Wells out for the season, it's ripe for Sullivan's taking. _________________

| I think the only locks on this team are AD and Harvin. |

I figure this is as good of a place as any to put this:
Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero
Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, Blair Walsh all named to Pro Football Weekly's midseason All-Pro team. Peterson was a unanimous pick. _________________

If this team gets back to winning ways and goes 8-8 or 9-7, I see the following guys being very strong to make the Pro-Bowl:
Adrian Peterson
Percy Harvin
Matt Kalil
John Sullivan
Jared Allen
Blair Walsh
Chad Greenway
Antione Winfield
Harrison Smith
Yes, that's 9 guys, and with the annual culling of SB players and injured guys, it's possible . . . Sullivan, Smith and Winfield may not make it. Greenway should and deserves it.
Percy should if his ankle doesn't keep him out too long. A dark horse would be an NFC Tight end named Rudolph . . . Right now, Witten, Gonzalez, Davis and Graham are probably the leaders, so Kyle would need a lot of catches and 5 or 6 more TDs in the next 6 weeks to get mentioned. |

Chad Greenway is alright, but when you are up against guys like Lance Briggs, Clay Matthews (injured), Demarcus Ware, Michael Boley, and 1 other big name I'm forgetting, is going to be hard for him to make it.
Honestly, the only way I think we get more than 3 guys in is if we rebound at this point. Who wants to see 9 guys from a 6-10/7-9 squad anyways, if thats how our record would pan out?
8-8 or above is where we gotta be to see all those guys go. _________________

These guys may as well be locks:
Peterson
Harvin (WR or KR)
Kalil
Sullivan
Allen
After that, it gets iffy. |
