Is there any point in the draft where:
Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Height: 6-2. Weight: 255.
Projected 40 Time: 4.60.
becomes an viable 1st pick for the Browns?
if not why?
if so at what point? _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I'd have no problem picking this kid - I think he'd help our run D tremendously.
And I STILL don't know what FIFY means |

I've watched Jarvis Jones in 3 games this season. No thanks. He disappears for large stretches and typically gets sacks/pressure from being unblocked.
Te'o is dominate each game and is a more complete LB. I take him in the first no problem.
I dont draft Te'o as a SAM. Gocong is 263 and a strong SAM. DQ is 240 and is undersized at MLB, but has the speed to cover ground - DQ is a natural WILL. Te'o at 6-2 250+ is a perfect fit a MIKE. |

Te'o is a very good LB. imo he is not urlacher, Not Willis, Not Lewis. I dont think he is even Navarro Bowman. I feel our first could be better utilized, and I am someone who really liked Te'o comming out of HS. I think he is a brandon Spikes type player in the NFL _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

| We are so bare at talent at LB I'd definitely take him regardless of DQ. If that means moving Teo to SLB, that's fine. If it means moving DQ to Will, I'm okay with that. We are too strapped for talent there to not consider Teo. |

BTW, for those of you that claim DQ is "undersized" and is a will b/c of his size. Here's other MLB's in the league
Navarro Bowman- 6'0'' 242
Sean Lee- 6'2" 236
Patrick Willis- 6'1" 242
Daryl Washington- 6'2" 230
Demeco Ryans- 6'1" 229
Karlos Dansby- 6'3" 243
Perry Riley- 6'1" 238
Derrick Johnson- 6'3" 243
Bruce Carter- 6'1" 233
AJ Hawk- 6'1" 246
Jon Beason- 6'0" 232
I guess all of those guys should move to WLB as well. Some of those guys are even 34 inside backers, so they should be bigger too, to take on guards and what not right? They are obviously not big enough to "stone wall" a RB.
No, b/c of their size, they are natural WLB. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

I like Te'o a lot. The guy is the leader of a damned good defense and is a monster in the run game. We need a guy like that, and have since '99.
Where would we take him? Who knows, far too early to tell.
BPA on the defensive side of the ball should be our focus in April. If that guy is Te'o, take him.
I think a guy like Te'o at MLB could be the difference between awful and reasonably decent against the run, which would be a miracle for this franchise. _________________
