yeah, he is definitely living up to the hype...

That INT to seal the game was pretty damn good.

Honestly, there's not much that Te'o does wrong. He really excels at every facet of the game. Maybe not a refined pass rusher, but he doesn't get the opportunity either.

A great player for sure.

Showed up big at the biggest moment of the game with that INT. Playmaker.

Yep. To me, when it comes to great players, I don't care what position they play now that the rookie cap is in place. If he's the next Junior Seau like so many have suggested (and at the least, he's a damn good player and leader), why not take him high? He's the kind of guy people will say is a reach in the Top 10 yet is in the Top 5 of every re-draft a few years later.

Te'o has a high football IQ, great leadership skills and an Elite level work ethic. You combine those in any player and you will get a great football pick.

I have him as good value from #6 through the first round and think he is going to be that special 14 seasons type of player. I'd be ecstatic to have both him and Butler as my ILB's next year.

Do you think your GM would trade up for him or another prospect?

I would not be unhappy if we took Teo in the draft.

When your best linebacker is D'Qwell Jackson that is why you cannot stop the run.

So lets ignore the fact that we have 2 rookie DT's. Sure, thats not the reason we struggle against the run. Its the LB. That ONE linebacker is the reason for our poor run D.

Stopping the run is a team effort, any coach will tell you that.

catching a ball carrier vs meeting one is personal one. That is why I have ALWAYS wanted DQ as a 43 Will. He does poorly meeting the ball carrier in north south situations 1 on 1.

I know you've ALWAYS wanted DQ at Will. And you've always been wrong about it.

DQ's biggest weakness is playing downhill, I can't really argue with that. Thats why he wasn't a great fit for the 34. He needs big bodies in front of him to make the same impact, but you know what? So did Ray Lewis. He's the one that publicly stated that offseason for the Ravens to draft a big guy (Ngata)...

The substance of any argument you have for/against any player is always size and speed. Fact is, theres so much more to football than that and you just choose to ignore it.

The substance of my argument is can if you play all facets of the position then production and then size and speed.

I'm beginning to lean towards a LB in the 1st round. I'd still love a trade back for an extra 2nd but our DL isn't that bad. Our secondary and LB core are the ones that need a player to help.

that is all

Manti is obviously a great player, but if available Jones would most likely be the pick. The guy may not be as physically dominant but he makes huge plays and can get after the passer. Was disappointed by the SC game but he won the game against Florida.

That was not an interception. If the ball touches the ground and moves, its an in-completion.

That being said Teo will be exposed in the 4-3 unless its SAM. He can play zone but man coverage on an NFL TE. No way. Put him on at 3-4 ILB and watch him become a star. He's really no different than Rolando McClain for the Raiders.

ND's toughest opponent was an overrated Big XII team. People need to keep that in mind.
