I feel like Gamble and Norman could be a nice pairing in the coming years. _________________

I agree. And Captain (although a FA after this year, I think), is a good nickel, so if Norman progresses as planned, we could have a nice trio of corners in a couple years. _________________

i guess i just want a playmaker at corner. i've been ragging on gamble for years for not forcing very many turnovers while the offense is throwing it all over the yard against us. i don't deny his talent or importance just wish going and getting the ball was part of his game _________________

Look at Fox, his bend but don't break methodology would frown upon someone taking such a shot at the ball. In his defenses, you don't take chances at the ball, you take what the offense gives you; hope they make a mistake a long the way you can capitalize on. It's based more on being in position, than making actual plays on the ball. Seems like this has transferred over to Rivera as well, could be a Hurney thing for all we know. _________________

| Quote: | | NOTES: The Panthers claimed second-year linebacker Doug Hogue off waivers from Detroit to fill the roster spot created when cornerback Chris Gamble was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. After losing Kenny Onatolu (torn triceps) for the season last week, the Panthers needed another special teams player. |

I don't understand why everyone is so high on Josh Norman. I understand he is a rookie, I get it, but he's not shown to me that he's a capable starter in this league. Maybe with some time and development he could be, but I'm just not seeing it unless you're idea of a solid corner is "Well he gave up a TD on the play but he Did have good coverage". (Referencing the TD pass last week in the end zone when Norman didn't even turn to look for the ball). _________________

So the middle is all Luke's and I would expect them to ask Beason to take a pay cut and move outside if he wants to stay. _________________

Considering Romo was barely pressured and never hit the ground, I'd say the all the corners played really well. WRs dropped a few balls which were bailouts though.
To be fair that was his first allowed TD. He has given up yards too though. He's been pretty good in run support, he made a really nice play against a Cowboy's screen.
Give him some time, real safety help and a little more pass rush and he can be a solid corner. |

So it's Luke in the middle, James Anderson on the strong and TD on the weak?
Not a bad trio but if one of them geos down do we have anyone who can step up?
I guess it's Jordan Senn time again isn't it? _________________ Still the only UK-based Panthers fan I know...hang on a minute...I might be the only one IN the UK! |

In Norman's defence, he used correct technique on the play and the position was exactly the way you coach it up; that was just a spectacularly placed pass by Romo. There is no defense for a perfect pass. _________________
