Ron Rivera did not totally dismiss the possibility that Beason and/or Gamble could be put on IR, saying Panthers will know more Thursday.
Joe Person @josephperson
To clarify, Rivera said Panthers will know more FRIDAY; didn't say they're headed to IR; but left open the possibility. |

Classic panthers.

My thoughts exactly. And people still defend Hurney haha. His solution to the nagging #2 corner problem: an injured 3rd rounder, a 5th rounder and an undersized 7th rounder.
Ill be shocked of the cowboys score less than 35 against Norman, Captain and whoever the nickel back is. Martin would be better at corner. |

Beason should not be cut. He deserves a chance at recovery. He is arguably the best MLB in the game when he's on. It will take time. It's worth waiting to see a potential all pro unit with Keuchly, Davis, Beason, subbed by Anderson.
Gamble has to be on the field or we are torched. If both go to IR I agree that Hurney may be out the door. That's called packing it in. I will be infuriated if they use the injury excuse. But so will the local media and they will bag on Hurney for it so he will not escape criticism this time i think. |

They'll probably just draw pictures of Cam as if it's his fault this team is as shallow and untalented as it is.
I don't see how Hurney can't be out the door. It's totally his fault. They haven't spent a reasonable pick in a corner since Marshall in 2006. |

Not too upset about the loss of Beason, he has not been himself this year, Or anything close. Plus we have Luke who is progressing every week.
However, if we are forced to have Norman and Munnerlyn starting corners..
Yeah we're done for the year. _________________

yeh this is starting to sound like a lost season. putting our namers on IR if this is indeed true. pretty sad. beason hasn't been himself but gamble was our only decent secondary player. guess we should start scouting cb's, safeties and dts for next years draft. _________________

Beason said on the radio that he's not that hurt its just nagging and the team may need the roster spot if he's not healthy and available to play soon. I think Beason is worse than Gamble injury wise currently. _________________

Joe Person is the bearer of only bad news:
| Quote: | Chris Gamble to get an MRI today or Monday on his shoulder. Fear is he might have a torn labrum.
|
He added Gamble is likely going to IR if that's the case.
Remember when the Falcons traded a 7th rounder for Asante Samuel? Those suckers.
Josh Norman is now the #1 corner. It's amazing how things got worse during the bye week. |

We need everything everywhere, except QB.
I would not be opposed to trading Stew, Williams, Smitty, and maybe even other vets for some extra picks, also freeing up a huge chunk of cap space and just start to rebuild once the season is over.
Thank goodness we have Cam.
Also I am excited to see Gettis come off of PUP and see if he can finally get things going. _________________

^ That would do little more than create huge dead cap space next year. _________________

Yeah I figured, It's all only hypothetical anyway unless something drastic happens I don't see those three going away next season. _________________
