Low first at best. |
He probably SHOULD be a low first, but he won't be.
Someone will take him no lower than 20 _________________

agreed. That and jacksonville does crazy things in the draft too. I see him constantly mocked there.
Guess thats the reputation you get for taking a punter in the 3rd round. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Different GM in place now. New guy came from Atlanta as DPP. Hard to say what he'll do, but it won't be as off-the-wall as Tyson Alualu in the top 10. |

I would avoid him like the plague. He has a condition that could potentially shorten his career anytime. That is NOT the type of player you want on your team. Not saying he is a bad kid, he just is a health concern.
that is all

If we can't get Moore or Milliner, who would you take instead? _________________

if our medical staff tells the GM and Chud that his back isnt an issue I would love to have him. no only was he a great LB but he was a huge difference maker and a huge playmaker. If there was a big defensive play made by that bulldog defense he was the one that made it _________________

Condition or no condition he is not the prospect he is made out to be. He is everything a lot of people are saying Dion and Mingo are. He plays with terrible leverage, gets washed out on run plays doesn't have any pass rush moves except run by the OT. His power is almost non existent. Believe what you want, but if the Browns draft him it could very well set us back again. _________________

It will not set us back again. That is hyperbole. What will set us back will be if we don't find a solution at QB. _________________

Depends
I think if we stay with the 4-3, depending on FA, as much as it pains me, I would take a QB prospect if they love one. Better not be Barkley or Geno.
If we are in the 3-4, we almost have to go front 7. Whoever THEY think is best. Jordan, Mingo, etc.. _________________

Many would take Jordan over Jones but that could end up being a mistake. Jones forces big time turnovers, most notably against florida this year causing a fumble on Jordan Reed while they were in the red zone in the 4th. Single handedly won a close missouri game with a pick 6 and a strip sack. Played well vs Alabama and I did not see him get consistently pushed back.
No power??? Check out the Missouri game and you will see him bull rushing the tackle back into the qb several times, eventually setting him up for the big sacks around the edge. He consistently dominates lower competition and can also make plays against the best of them.
The only game where I was not impressed was against South Carolina. They had a great game plan against him. But you could tell they planned their whole game plan around HIM.
Jones is on the field all day and at the crucial moments. The only other players like that are Moore and Mingo. Werner and Jordan are often not on the field and disappear. Oh and Jones was playing injured for a good portion of the year.
The guy wasn't seen as a top 5 pick after last season for no reason. |
