Hopefully we have a 1 and 1a in our coaching carousel. We better not go into "panic mode" if he decides to go back. |

Shaw as HC, someone from Harbaugh's staff as OC and Todd Grantham as DC |
Neither are leaving their respective schools. Shaw has his dream job and Grantham will not think of leaving Georgia for a bit. | Isn't there rumors of Grantham leaving already this offseason? I understand Shaw, but not Grantham |

Roseman (if he's still the GM for 2013) seems like the kind of guy who would go into panic mode if the candidate we put all our hopes into declines the offer. _________________ 2013 Eagles Forum HOF

If it comes down to it, Phil Knight will pay to keep Kelly at Oregon.
He pities the Lurie who tries to steal his coach away from him. _________________

I think that is an Andy Reid trait. He was the person that didn't plan ahead.
A lawyer not having a contingency plan? Doubtful. _________________

The Chiefs play teams in the top 6 in the draft in the next three weeks, so if we continue to lose we'll definitely be able to move up some.

Also, knowing this organisation, once Kelly turns us down, we'll panic and hire Gruden or Billick or someone. _________________

He won't leave for UT, that's either Gruden or Strong and he has too much respect for our fanbase to do so. Arkansas he won't leave for either. _________________

I feel like we'll hire someone some of us have ever heard of before.
Probably someone like James Franklin. _________________

We cut Vick what type of offense would he adapt to Nick Foles? | 2007 season when Dixon went down when Oregon was #2 in the nation and had Dixon as a Heisman leader. (Also Chip's first year). Rotation of 3 QBs, Brady Leaf got hurt (#2 QB, split time as starter in 06 with Dixon, Ryan Leaf's brother) and Justin Roper did decent after a week of full practice. Didn't run. Threw for 4 TDs in the bowl game. Since then he''s prepared every QB on the roster like starters. QB controversies twice because the young kids were as trained as the in game experienced kids. Also has an eye for QBs:
Masoli was a JuCo player until half way through the summer when UO took him in. Was a two year starter starting that year. Lead the team to the Rose Bowl after only being with the team for less than 6 months.
Darron Thomas was a WR to everyone (broke bajillions of school records)
Masoli was a meh prospect from Hawaii.
Chip recruited 3 QBs in 2010: Manziel (#1 freshman QB, Alabama killer, Heisman winner this year as a freshman), Mariota (#2 freshman QB, leader of a top 5 team), Hundley (#3 freshman QB, winning record for UCLA for first time in forever) |
So two backup QBs were more pocket passers since then he's been running the spread, again my question is what type of offense would he bring here? A combo platter some spread-some pro ala Skins? I don't see a QB in this draft that fits the bill. Any FAs possibles? | I think it's like what the Redskins do but faster paced. Oregon has three speeds:
Green-card goes up, snap ball as fast as possible
Yellow-card goes up, you call audible snap ball as fast as possible
Red-Chip calls in play through headset to tailor against defense
Lots of Oregon's reads are run-run
Read for handoff, read for pitch to slot WR/another RB
Washington runs more run-pass options
Read for handoff, if not open run for QB then you look for the bubble to the WR
In college OL can go downfield if the pass is behind the LOS. One of the biggest things Chip will have to change about his O _________________
