I think Jay would love to come in and work side by side with Jon, sort of like Monte and Lane down in Southern California. I'm not sure about Mel Tucker either, I don't know how much of a chance he'll get and I feel like there's much stronger coaching canidates then him this year. I would say that either he or Bowles would be our next defensive coach.
| Quote: | | I love some of the defensive additions...Curry, Reid, Gholston...Kenny Tate is intriguing I wonder could he play in a 34 OLB? I say that because if he's stout enough (and maybe add 15-20) I could see him playing there. 6'4 guys rarely have the hips to play safety. Not saying we will play a 34. |
I think we'll try Tate as a WLB first, and he's played well in a linebacker roles this year at Maryland. I believe he's more of a safety, in the mold of Kam Chancellor, and they have very similar skillsets.
Thanks for the feedback nlesthought _________________

I'm undecided on Gruden. I never thought he was that great of a coach. Dennison would be a lot better, or just promoting Bowles.
Speaking of Bowles...I see you have us hiring a new DC...So where does that leave him? No way we get rid of him. I just don't see it. The FO seems to be infatuated with him.
Like the Andre Smith signing a lot. Also like Matt Moore. Aaron Curry isn't too bad a signing either...low risk high reward really. He just got stem cell therapy for his knee which is good. He showed flashes of great potential in Oakland. I just don't like that you have Matthews starting at WILL...rather have Curry there.
The cuts....are good for the most part. I would rather not get rid of Landri. Rest I don't mind. Also trading Babin and Jenkins is good with me.
Love the draft. Reid, Rogers, and Gholston would be an incredible first three picks. I'd be ecstatic if we got those 3. The rest of the draft is solid as well. I like Klein as a late round pick. _________________

Missed that.
I think he'll stay. Roseman and Lurie will give him a nice contract whether it's as DC or HC. They love the guy _________________

Because he was a top STer and is dusting off his cobwebs from a torn ACL. Next year if he is with us he will be a top STer. _________________

Cooooooooolt Anderson!
Not a fan of switching to the 3-4, but if we did, it's a solid mock, I do think NT in the 3-4 is overrated, get a solid guy that can handle the run and get some good End's, and I believe Cox could be one of them. _________________

Not gonna lie, I actually like that 3-4 defense you have for us. I think Kendricks would be a solid 3-4 ILB..and Sean Porter in the 3rd round at OLB there would be phenomenal. Honestly, though, I'd rather take Chase Thomas in the 2nd...he's going to be the best OLB in this class and would be a beast at OLB in the 3-4...but I would be happy with Porter there as well.
Also like Jenkins as the first pick but only if we did switch to a 3-4....I see him as a franchise NT and a BJ Raji-like player on defense.
Keeping Cullen also would be smart if we made that transition...he and Cox would be solid 3-4 ends.
Also, I've always envisioned Graham as a 3-4 OLB anyway. And an OLB combo of Graham-Porter in the future is pretty exciting. _________________

It would be Graham-Cole the first season. I don't think anyone would have enough confidence in Porter until he is able to prove himself. Or the balls to start him over Trent Cole.... _________________
