IMO the best and only option is to trade down and aquire a 2nd and 4th round pick maybe more. We need all the help we can get, even 5th round picks are valuable to us because we lack depth at just about every position.

I would trade down into the 20's, the 2013 draft is stacked with passrushers. We also need a CB and a DT assuming Seymour or Kelly is gone. I honestly wouldn't mind if our entire draft was defensive players. Reggie can find a OL help in FA.

Yea i wouldnt mind that either. maybe draft a OL in the middle rounds but mainly D.

the problem with our D to me is we have a bunch of average players with potential.

If we draft a DE, houston (who i think has potential) loses snaps unless inside
If we draft a DT, and get rid of only one of seymour or kelly, bryant loses snaps
Our LBS are just pure potential all 4 of them
CB is the only easy upgrade.. and that isnt what i want in the first.

For me, (without knowing how the cap numbers work) my ideal draft offseason for the D would be.
cut both seymour and kelly
move houston inside and let him start with Des Bryant

Draft a Speed DE in the first.
Draft CBs in the 3rd and 4th
and a DT in the 5th.

RM is going to have to make some tough decisions this Off season, because cutting young guys with potential never goes well with fans, but are often the moves needed to be made

Can't help but wonder who actually is in the QB market. JAX, CLE and BUF have potential to be. They all have committed to QBs recently though. It will be interesting to see how the new CBA's rookie cap comes into play here with the Jags and Browns especially.

KC will be almost a lock imo. If they don't dump hapless Romeo and Cassel I'll be shocked. It'll either be a scapegoat thing for Pioli or ownership will just axe all 3 of them.

Not sure where we'll finish either, so we may or may not be in the market too. Seems like RMcK will go defense or trade down but there is the chance of him going Geno or Barkley still. I doubt he'd trade up but depending on our position, I could see him staying put and going QB. Not the most likely scenario imo but could happen still.

We discussed this in General about a month ago. There definitely is not a lot of teams that will be vying for a QB. KC. Jets (probably not). 9ers. Cowboys. Bears. I dunno.... I'm reaching w/ majority.

SF has Kaepernick, so they're fine.

NYJ could ditch Sanchez, but its been said Tebow will stick around for years. Could mean he gets the start. But you can't trust everything that is said.

Cowboys, I doubt it.

Bears, I doubt it.

Its down to us, JAX, KC, Buffalo and Cleveland as far as possibilities go. But not all of them are guaranteed to be in the market either.

If the Jets dump Sanchez The Raiders should pick him up.
It' not his fault Ryan is an Idit .
He has no RB,TE,WRs or O-line to help him out

Grab your umbrella, Son. You're about to be on the business end of an anti-USC Crapstorm.

Tbh there aren't many QBs I would bend over backwards for atm because I believe that Palmer is serviceable, hence there are other pressing needs. Occasionally, Palmer will throw away a game that the Raiders wouldn't have even been in without him. meh. I can't even imagine how horribly bad the Raiders would look if the beloved Jason Campbell had not been ousted.

And you were criticising Reggie for not making any good moves Shocked

What has Sanchez done that would suggest he would be a better option than Palmer?

In my opinion they are a joke. In the last ten years there drafts sucked.

I'd rather sacrifice one of my testicles than have Mark Sanchez on this team.

+1

Even when he isnt playing really well, he is playing better than any QB on our roster has ever played. As for Campbell, I really liked him, but he relied on a strong run game to do the dirty work while he kept the ball safe. Palmer isnt a superstar, but he can do more through the air than him. If Campbell were our starter right now with this run game, we would be scoring even fewer points.

If we trade back out of the top-10 maybe. I think I have officially settled into the Star Loutelei bandwagon. The dude is a freak. He is huge, strong, quick, stops the run, eats up blocks, and can even be a force rushing the passer. With him at NT, I think it instantly makes our defense better. I know he isnt the pass rusher that Jones or Mingo are, but I love the fact that he will smother blockers and RBs in the run game and adds a pass rush element that few NTs posses. We still need a real pass rusher, but we also really need a stout DT because our run defense has been miserable forever.

How is Sanchez not a better back up then Leinart?
I want Palmer to teach Sanchez how to be a quarterback a few years on the bench would do Sanchez some good.

+1
