IMO - Eagles should sign Williams to play LG. Move Mathis to tackle. See if that works. It shouldn't be any worse than where we're at now.

I disagree with Mathis at tackle. If we sign Williams, maybe put him at RT and move to Herremans to LT (bench Bell/Dunlap). Or maybe Herremans to RG with Williams at RT (bench Watkins).

Current: Dunlap/Bell-Mathis-Reynolds-Watkins-Herremans

Not sure how it would work, but a change might not be a bad idea IMO.

Yeah. I think the key here is really to get either the LTs or Watkins off the field. Ideally Reynolds, too, but we're kind of short on options at center.

Steve Vallos is the only other option at C, and he hasn't played a snap for us yet.

My goodness the losses of Peters and Kelce put our line in shambles. Mad

Williams is not a center at all, just forget about that, it was just a training camp experiment.

Oh no, didn't mean try him out there. If signed, it will be for LT, RG or RT. I was just mentioning the only other C on roster.

I think Bell at tackle is better than Watkins at guard, and Herremans is a better guard than tackle.

I would do:

Bell-Mathis-Reynolds-Herremans-Williams

I hope Pittsburgh gets their hands on him. Our line is brutal and we're decimated with injuries at the line.

What's with him? ? I know an injury hurt his chances at LT, but I thought he was doing well at LG?

That's what Jets fans said about Wayne Hunter and he's been very good for us at LT playing for the injured Roger Saffold. Sometimes a change of scenery and coaching can be everything. Not saying the Bears OL coach isn't good but maybe the next coach will get something out of him. Stranger things have happened.

The guy couldn't even make it on the crap Bears' offensive line - probably the 2nd or 3rd worst offensive line in the league. I don't know why anyone would want this guy, except maybe the CFL.

He was, he got injured at LG and lost his job also. Mike Tice is our OC and was brought in as an OL guru. For some reason he just doesnt like Williams. Also we have a good amount of interior guys.

I wouldnt be surprised if he played some pretty decent OT for a team. He really just needs a change of scenery.

Ok, here's whats up.

#1 to the people saying Mike Tice hated Chris Williams they are crazy. Since Tice came in 2010, Williams started 22/32 games in 2010/2011 with almost all the games missed starting being due to injury.

#2 Last season at LG before getting injured he was playing above average. He's not a point of attack guy, but looked great pulling and blocking in space. Is as athletic a 6'6" guy you can have on the Oline.

#3 I imagine the injury has hurt him long term. Just doesn't seem to be the same guy this year that he was a season prior for whatever reason.

Pick him up, he can back-up multiple positions if nothing else. Not being able to beat out Webb at LT is p lolz tho.
