2 points against this though maybe.
Maybe due to the talent level the D was rising above their coordinator thus hiding his ineptitude.
Maybe Reid himself or someone else was actually coaching the D due to Castillos uselessness. |

Completely wrong on all accounts. The only thing you got right was that it was a surprise. |

You speak the truth and must watch a lot of Philly games. Vick is showing no ability or effort to block on the o-line......
This firing should have happened last year.. Juan never was able to make the proper in game changes..
I have no idea how Marty still has a job at this point. |

I really only need to say one thing to justify this firing, you have one of the greatest press man CBs of all time, playing zone. That's it. That's a fireable offense. _________________

Combine that with the ridiculous number of fourth-quarter leads we've blown in the past two seasons (seven) and there you go.
That's not to say that I think Morhinweg should keep his job, but we don't have anyone to replace him (unless Reid assumes the duties, which would probably change nothing). |

Since the start of 2011, Eagles defense is 1st in the NFL in 3rd down pct in the first 3 quarters and 30th in the 4th quarter. _________________

The hilarious part here is that Juan Castillo was the only person on the coaching staff earning his paycheck. He didn't play terribly on 3rd down and let the Steelers drive down the field. He didn't let Calvin Johnson make a ridiculous catch...
The Offense is ranked 31st in points per game and 30th in turnovers... But of course Mornhinweg and Reid are perfectly fine and doing nothing wrong. No, it's the defense - that has been playing great - that's the problem. Give me a break! _________________
