You guys are right, you can't really compare the two. My bad... I wasn't aware how severe punishments would be for resisting arrest (or charges along those lines)... I was looking at it mainly on the DUI side because I figured that would be where the most severe charges would stem from. I was wrong. | No worries. Stallworth's case, superficially, would seem like a good one to point to because of the severe consequences of the DUI. But because of the unusual circumstances surrounding the whole ordeal, it really isn't a barometer of anything. Most often (not saying that's what you were doing) people like to point to it as a case of an athlete/celebrity getting off easy because of status, but it actually has very little if anything to do with that. It's simply a corner case, so it's very rarely going to be a helpful comparison.
And punishments for resisting can be pretty harsh (for a reason), though they often depend on situation, too. _________________

Being .20 pushes him into ”enhanced impairment” in a lot of states and in their opinion this its viewed as a behavriol trait versus a lapse, _________________

Saddens me to hear all this. Really wanted him in the draft. I guess Reggie passed on him because of possible character issues. Dude is gonna see some time behind bars for sure. _________________

That's flipping crazy - why would you try and run? Just take the DUI, pay your fines, and go back to work - you likely don't even get a suspension for first offense. _________________

I loved him before the draft. I wonder if he will ever play in the NFL. _________________ First jersey purchased: Jamarcus Russell.

If it were any other team I'd be surprised, but it's the Steelers -- I'd be more surprised if they kept him. _________________

He's 350 lbs.
Can you imagine how many beers he'd have had to chug to blow a .196?

I was so happy we had drafted him, but if he can't stay out of trouble off the field; he clearly can't focus on the field.
NT is officially our #1 need. Hampton is clearly an average NT at this point. He is playing his last season in Pittsburgh. We have to get a future NT immediately. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |
