How many "years" did Donte Stallworth get?
but yeah dudes a moron and deserves punished. | Stallworth also killed a man. If no one died or got injured but Ta'amu or the cops, then he won't go to Jail. He will have to do a bunch of community service, probably get put on probation, pay a ridiculously hefty fine. But He won't go to jail for a DUI... not for years at least. Probably at most a month or 2 that he can serve in the offseason. |
Well that's a pretty simplistic way to look at it, huh? I mean, let's ignore that the guy he hit was running across a freeway. Instead, let's ignore all context and paint Stallworth like he hopped a curb and hit a guy sipping some coffee. _________________

Did he not?
Sorry to derail the thread but a Ravens fan feels he deserves years so I asked the question of Stallworth who DID kill a man while driving above the legal limit. Yes there were other circumstances.
Either way there are a few facts we know....
Ta'amu is a moron.
Ta'amu deserves punishment. _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

I don't want to derail the thread any further, but simply looking at results and ignoring all context is a close minded way of looking at things. That's the only point I was getting at.
But back to Ta'amu, I'm sure he'll face some sort of stiff penalty from the league. Not just the DUI, but apparently fleeing and being involved in a chase? I'd say minimum 2 games with a $75k fine or something of that nature. _________________

This moron should google fomer rookie Steeler DL and first round pick (the player they picked instead of Dan Marino) Gabriel Rivera and see what driving drunk did to him. _________________

Not saying Ta'amu should go to jail, but the Stallworth situation is a bit different. Above the legal limit barely, and he waited the night before driving in the morning, hitting someone illegally crossing a street, and a freeway at that. _________________

Dude always seemed like a scumbag to me. From what I remember, he always yelled at his followers on Twitter and was just always negative. This incident is obviously on a whole 'nother level, and I really hope he is kicked off the team because of it. Doubt it happens though. _________________

They are different. Obviously Ta'amu is much more neglegent and at fault for what he did. Have we heard what his BAC was? But Stallworth was over the limit and did kill someone and he received 30 days. Yes there were other circumstances involved but those two are the most important facts. My only argument was that the person quoted was calling for "years" which will not happen.
And I wouldn't call .12 "barely" over legal limit. _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

Stallworth was a member of the Browns when he did this. N.F.L. suspended him one year and Browns let him go. Stallworth did cooperate with the police though. _________________ browns and indian fan 7272

I understand that....
Cooperated with police vs Didn't cooperate with police
Killed a man vs Didn't kill a man.
Which should bring more punishment?
I am definitely not in any way defending Ta'amu... just the likely punishment. _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

My gosh. Can this draft get any worse for us now? Only thing that came of it was Chris Rainey; and he hasn't done much... |
Wait, whats so bad about the draft? I haven't paid attention to it since May or so but i remember everyone praising the Steelers draft, giving them A+ grades, etc..have the players really been that bad? |
Aside from DeCastro, Steelers came away with a lot of big name guys overrated by the media. Some had work ethic question marks(Adams) and some were major question marks on where they fit into the scheme(Ta'amu and Spence).
I thought a lot of people were overrating their class after the draft. |
DeCastro us already our best run blocker. Spence looked amazing before going down. Rainey is already getting snaps. The only real question marks of our first 5 picks are Ta'Amu who will surely be cut and Adams who can seemingly only run block... _________________
