Ra'Shede Hageman Statistics

Quote:
09/11/12 - KEEP AN EYE ON: The defensive line, which got pushed around the last two seasons, recorded four sacks against New Hampshire. Nose tackle Ra'Shede Hageman and end D.L. Wilhite both had big games. Hageman had two sacks for 15 yards while Wilhite had 1 1/2 sacks for 12 yards and recorded another tackle for a loss of yardage. - The Sports Xchange
09/05/12 - DL Ra'Shede Hageman impressed the coaches enough in fall camp to be the No. 1 nose tackle on the depth chart for the UNLV game. The redshirt junior had five tackles, including a sack. The coaching staffs have been trying to tap into Hageman's potential for four years and may have finally found the key. - The Sports Xchange
05/10/12 - Minnesota Gophers defensive lineman Ra'Shede Hageman was arrested in Minneapolis early Thursday after getting in a fist fight near the University of Minnesota at a bar about closing time, authorities said. Hageman, who played in all 12 games last season as a sophomore, was booked in the Hennepin County jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct at about 2:40 a.m. and has since posted bond allowing for his release. A May 24 court date has been set. Police Sgt. Stephen McCarty said that Hageman, 21, had been drinking at Sally's Saloon and Eatery and was arrested outside. No one required hospitalization, and there were no other arrests, McCarty said. McCarty did not know what prompted the fight. Gophers spokesman Garry Bowman said athletic officials are aware of the incident and intend to deal with the matter internally. "He was in the middle of [the incident] trying to break it up," Bowman said. "We are still trying to gather more information. Coach Kill will look into it more when he talks to Ra'Shede." Hageman starred at Minneapolis Washburn High School as a tight end, but he was converted to the defensive line upon his arrival at Minnesota. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle played primarily on passing downs last season and is viewed as a key contributor to the team's pass rush in 2012. - Paul Walsh, The Minneapolis Star-Tribune

Can anyone give any feedback on Ra'Shede Hageman as an NFL prospect? I haven't seen him mentioned at all.

From what I have read Hageman is an impressive physical specimen that up to this point hasn't realized his tremendous physical potential. He seems to have taken a step forward this year and might be an intriguing prospect for the 2014 draft (if he returns).

Looks like he could be a 5-tech at the next level just by his body type. But I haven't seen him play.

He was originally recruited as a TE and a pretty highly ranked one at that (for what Gopher fans are used to at least) and never really panned out there. Has been really good as a DT in a very small amount of time there and physically has the potential to be a solid rotaitonal guy at the next level. I'm sure there are alot of technique issues still to be worked out with him due to his inexperience but that actually may help him whenver he decides to enter the draft.

undrafted. just like everyone from MN should be.

the only thing he has going for him is size and above average athleticism. nothing elite, doesn't play up to his potential and character issues to boot.

I couldn't disagree more, he could go as high as the 4th, IMO he has a lot of upside that a team would take a chance on plus he has another year, next year we could be talking 2nd

How can you say that? When Ra'shede came to school he was a Tight End. He is a very athletic kid and still learning the position. I cannot say that I watch the gophs regularly but when I do i feel like he is one of the better players on the defense.

While I won't say that he should be as high as a 2nd-3rd, but i think he could be a project pick in the 4-7.
