I will continue to beat this drum until it breaks. We need him. Trade up if necessary. _________________

I think it is more realistic to look at FAs or 2nd round MLB talent. Te'o is going too go way to high for us to trade up, which is very, very unfortunate. _________________

That depends, honestly. In recent years we've seen a lot of MLBs fall especially if they don't test especially well at the Combine. I think Te'o is easily a Top 15 player, but it IS possible he'll slip a bit, considering MLBs rarely go super high, and as good as Te'o is, he's not Patrick Willis. _________________

How does he compare to Kuechly? _________________

| Why not just play Trevanthan and Woodyard in the nickel? They have the speed to be everywhere....Mays gets gashed in space and Brooking is not going to change that. |

He was ranked around Kuechly predraft last yr and was really what you prefer. The difference imo from 5 to mid 20s wasn't much of a difference. I had 2 of my top 10 prospects in the late/teens 20 area.
But next draft should be better imo. _________________

Here's a bit of a quote I found today on SI jonny.
| Quote: | The intense defender came into his senior season lighter and quicker, which has only enhanced his play. Te'o has shown improved skills in coverage, which complements his legendary intensity.
|
He, Von and Trevathan as our LB corp? My my. |

Just a hunch. I think WW's real niche is as a nickle LB and ST ace. Keeps his legs fresh. I think over the course of a season as a full time starter he'll start wearing down as a full time starter. |

I wonder if DJ will play MIKE when he gets back. Surely it's better to have WW at WLB and DJ at MLB, than DJ at WLB and Mays/Brooking at MLB.
I know DJ dislikes playing MIKE but it's just for the rest of the season. _________________
