Wow I certainly wouldn't rule out Hayden or Carradine then.

I still think S, RT, RB are our first three picks in some order. But maybe DL and CB come after that. If there's exceptional value maybe we take a DE/DT or CB early.

We shouldn't take seriously anything Marvin says the week of the draft except perhaps about some movement on re-signing Smith.

I'll be shocked beyond belief if S isn't one of our first two picks, and would be surprised if RB isn't one of the first three. I don't think we take a RT early though; I think a Smith deal is done sometime in the next 48 hours.

Definitely cool with a DL or CB early, if the right value is there. Agreed with Marv on the "can never have too much depth at DL and CB" remark. Wouldn't reach for anyone, however.

They surprised me last year with Still in the 2nd, then shocked me with Thompson in the 3rd.

As long as he is healthy. If we resign Howard, then I doubt we select a LB before day 3, and even then it may only be a backup MLB.

If Howard is healthy, any chance he starts at WLB and Rey becomes a backup

That's be ideal.

WLB: Howard
MLB: Burfict
SLB: Harrison

With Maualuga backing up Burfict and Harrison and Lemur backing up Howard.

Is there any chance Harrison plays on the right (weak) side? That's where he played in Pittsburgh and Whitworth said something about looking forward to battling him in practice.

I doubt it. He fits more of the SLB mold as a run stopper and blitzing edge rusher. Our WLB needs to be able to cover and be sideline to sideline type player. Plus that means moving all 3 LBs to different positions than they were last year.

They do 1 on 1 drills in practice and at camp so I am sure they will battle. I think he was more referring to his history with Whit. Along with that, he couldnt say battle Andre, so really Whit is the name on our line for him to mention.

Pitt played left and right side. We do strong and weak side formations

Better not be in Round One. I like him just not that early...

Orlovsky has too much experience here. Manziel doesn't stand a chance.

Although first round RB isn't my preference, you can't really be mad with a back like Lacy. BGJE is so damn boring and average. Lacy would immediately be far superior. On offense, we rely heavily on our running game, so it makes sense. But if we pass on Cyprien i'll still lose my mind.
