Its clearly not easy, as no one had equaled it in 52 years...
I know there's a lot of hate for Drew on the forums these days, but he broke a record belonging to a guy who's widely acknowledged as the best to ever play the position. Its definitely a noteworthy accomplishment. _________________

Those two were blizzard conditions too, not just simple snow games _________________

I don't know, it's a total whatever record for me. I'll remember him much more for the 5500 yard season and for throwing for 5000 yards twice, among other things, much more so than this. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

It's not that it's unimpressive, it's just I really don't care. _________________ The Heist. |

Snow actually isn't that bad to play in, especially if it isn't windy and just below freezing. _________________ Kickers are people too |

Probably because it's not important to other QB's/Coaches honestly. Down by 17 (31-14) against the Rams with :06 seconds left? You take a knee there.
Unless of course you're stat padding. Then you go for it!

20 passes in a row in the final 3 drives... including a Pick6.
No offense but I'm not impressed. I wouldn't care if a Vikings QB had done it. |

At the eight yard line?
I don't think so.

Blasphemy!
They needed to score fast. They didn't run the ball at all.
I've never seen like that!

i think ive seen a team kneel while down at the end of the game once...maybe....99 out of a 100 times the team goes for the score there. _________________

This was not my research but that of another poster on another forum. Found it incredibly telling.
Brees last 48 games:
-33 dome games
-15 outdoors games
-9 outdoors games with 70+ degrees
-3 games in the 30s
-0 games below 32 degrees
And just because I'm a Patriots fan- Bradys current streak is 37 games and that's while playing in outdoor venues a minimum of 11 games a season outdoors.
And yes this is relevant because the splits between Brees' career indoors and outdoors are night and day. On turf vs on grass is even worse IIRC. |
Come on man...I agree that the record isn't anything that great nowadays, but that doesn't mean you gotta bring Brady into it.
He's 10 games behind, and its a meaningless record anyway....I feel like a big reason so many people argue against Brady's accomplishments and such is because of posts like this.
There was absolutely no need to bring Brady up...none. _________________

It's just sad. Having a future HOFer isn't enough. Having 3 SB's in the last decade isn't enough. The playoffs almost every year of the millennium isn't enough.
And at the end of the day, you hear: "Why doesn't anyone like us?!?!?!?"
(not a shot at the whole fanbase btw) |
Yes, cause I forgot the Patriots were the only team with fans like that....EVERY team that has had a lot of success, or even one very successful player, has the same SMALL AMOUNT of fans that have to make sure that everyone knows about their favorite player/team, and that thinks everyone must agree with them at just how great said player/team is.
Not just Pats, look at every team that has a big name QB, won the SB, and/or had any type of elite talent on their team, and you will find the same thing. _________________
