This seems like a means of jump-starting the offense, which as started off slow nearly every game this season, as well as preparing for some of the high-powered defenses coming down the road.

Good. After the bye week the Bears host the Lions on MNF. Lions DT Suh has Charles Martin written all over him.

A desperate coach and team with one guy who is a loose cannon.
So keep Suh away from Cutler. Speed up the offence. Lots of options. Be sure Cutler isn't lingering around the line of scrimmage.
