Rules for creating new team threads:

1) Don't create a new team thread unless the old thread is nearing 100 pages.

2) Don't create a new team thread unless the old thread is further than 3 pages from the top of the forum.

Exceptions:

-If the original poster of the previous team thread is no longer an active member and has not regularly updated the thread, simply PM a moderator and they will close down the previous thread so that you may start a new one.

There may be more reasons as to why you may want to create a new team thread, but the biggest thing here is to PM a moderator and get their approval prior to going ahead and making the thread. This will help to avoid future confusion and prevent duplicate team threads running concurrently within the forum.

In general, if you are unsure about a thread, please feel free to PM either myself or another Moderator and we will be more than happy to work with you.

Thanks for understanding. Smile

The following forum rules must be followed by everyone who posts here. These rules are not up for debate or discussion. If you disagree with any of them, do not post here. If you canít follow the rules you will be banned from posting here.

The ban could last a few weeks or be permanent depending on the severity of your actions. If you try and circumvent the ban by registering another username you will receive an automatic permanent ban and will have your IP address banned as well. If you threaten any member, moderator, or the webmaster your ISP will be contacted and they will provide your name to the proper authorities so they can handle it.

Forum Rules

1. Do not post anything abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. This includes references in usernames, signatures, avatars, and PMs.

2. Personal attacks, name calling, and threats to other members are not allowed.

3. Do not flame or troll. This is when you start a topic or post just to anger or incite other members.

4. Do not post copyrighted material. For more information see this topic:
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2149

5. Your signature and avatar must follow these guidelines:
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=53678

6. To contact another member, moderator, or the webmaster use the private message (PM) feature, do not start a topic to do this.

7. Do not promote (SPAM) other websites in your posts, signatures, or PMs.
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21944

8. You may not discuss race, religion, politics, or sexual-orientation on these forums. This includes references in usernames, signatures, avatars, and PMs.

9. Anyone caught posting garbage or one word posts to boost their post count, may receive a permanent ban.

10. You are only allowed one username. Anyone caught with multiple usernames may receive a ban.

11. Finally, this is a business and if you are doing anything which the webmaster deems 'bad for business' you will be asked to stop. If you choose to ignore the webmaster, you'll receive a ban.

If anyone sees another member violating these rules, please send a PM to a moderator or the webmaster. Do not respond to them. Be especially careful not to respond to personal attacks, name calling, and flames. When sending the PM make sure you include the URL of the topic in question.

The nonsense related to the Lebron James situation has turned this forum into an embarrassment and it needs to stop.

Please start following the forum rules when you post in the Basketball forum. Specifically things that need to change:

1. Post about basketball, not other members. If you disagree with someone's opinion either debate it or ignore them. Don't insult them.

2. The insults need to stop now. Even the minor ones. Stop calling members and fan bases whiners, babies, etc. These minor insults just anger and incite and things escalate.

3. The silly/insulting pictures need to stop. They are just used to insult other members, add nothing to the discussion and just cause more silly/insulting pictures to be posted in reply.

4. Stay on topic. Don't bring up Lebron in every topic.

5. Don't respond to insults or trolling. If someone insults you, don't respond or you could find yourself warned or banned too. Instead, ignore them and contact a moderator or Global mod.

Listen, the last thing I want to do is ban members, my main job is to bring in as many active members as possible,. However, if the insults, childish bickering, and other garbage continue I will be forced to hand out more bans.

And when you do open a new thread because the old one is 100+ pages, it is always helpful to remind a mod to close the old one down. Providing a link via PM is the best way to do that.

Thought this was very good for guidance as well.

The members of this forum need to stop derailing posts with constant bickering about every moderator action.

This forum is very difficult to moderate and you make it more difficult by either complaining about every moderator action or complaining if moderators take no action when you think they should.

Keep your posts to basketball, follow the forum rules and send mods a PM with any questions or comments you have about forum administration.
