It was only a matter of time before injuries started hitting us. This will hurt our ability to cover tes and the deep part of the field, the thought of Reed and Keo back deep frightens me

The report is from Jerome Solomon quoting an unnamed source.

At least this means we might see more of DJ, who IMHO is our best option at covering TE's.

Given our personnel usage, I'm actually expecting Keo to be his replacement. It seems they want Swearinger to focus only in the dime-S role and not have to also learn how to play the deep-S role as well.

I haven't seen Swearinger (or Keo) really take well to the deep / last line of defense role.

I think (edited) moving Brandon Harris (or even Brice McCain) back there - giving them time to diagnose and not having to turn and run with WRs might be a better option. Well, honestly finding a player not on the roster to play deep S might have been a better option. Embarassed But we are where we are.

Actually looking for CBs on other squads who can play CB / S might be a better option. Some basic criteria: over 6' / over 200 lbs / 4.5 or 4.6 speed... Pray

Kub just said it's not a fractured tibia like reported, but a significant knee injury

We are about to find out just how underrated Manning has been for us as it was the combination of he and Joseph that instantly turned us from the worst secondary to one of the best. Was on my top 5 list of most essential Texans. It is absolutely laughable to expect Shiloh Keo and his 4.75 speed and small stature try to cover NFL TE's, especially the ones with speed. He is nothing more than an undersized linebacker.

Who would be willing to take the risk on Kerry Rhodes? As long as he's been keeping in shape, he has the talent to help us turn things around on D.

I thought about that as well. Honestly, I think it may have a lot to do with coaches & GMs thinking Rhodes' presence being potentially divisive to a locker room. That's the only thing I can think of why he has not been signed by anyone as of yet.

I remember Rex Ryan saying he was "Hollywood". I am beginning to think that was his code word.
