| Its a common critisism among the league when teams win vs weak teams. How come I never here that towards the Broncos? Why do they get a free pass? |

because Manning has won big time games vs big time opponents and he happens to play QB for them. _________________ Deep down inside...If you bleed red and pee gold...your a redskins fan |

I think it's because the Broncos are in the worst division (with SD, OAK, and KC) and so no one really cares if they beat bad teams because a fair amount of them are in the division. _________________

I can't count the times people mention Manning choosing the Broncos because of a weak division. They did what they were supposed to. _________________

| But every game they played a top team ( atl, ne,hou) they lost. They feasted on bottom dwellers and middle of the road teams. |

They played those 3 teams in the first 5 weeks, and had a chance to to win the Hou and ATL games if the defense had gotten a 3rd down stop to give Manning the final drive. They didn't have the chemistry built that they do now and that D is really starting to come into its own. _________________

| They won that is all that matters, Falcons didn't have a tough schedule either. Broncos got better every week as Manning and their defense improved. |

The media have a love affair with Peyton Manning
It's the same reason they aren't putting any pressure on the Broncos to perform in the post-season considering the entire reason why they got rid of Tebow was because they said he couldn't take them to a Super Bowl |

Difference is Falcons didn't lose to the 3 best teams on their schedule |

Are they starting to "come into their own" or is their recent success due to the fact that they've played some seriously inept offensive football teams?
The only teams they've played that have good/great offenses are NE, ATL, HOU, NO, and CAR. I just wouldn't trust that defense to go up against a good offense like NE or HOU. _________________ Stevan Ridley, Att: 225, Yds: 1010, Y/A: 4.0, TD:9

They played the best teams on their schedule in the beginning, and this team isn't the same once they've been clicking.
I will say that people seem to have amnesia after the Broncos beat a team. Some examples of this are:
New Orleans began playing really well and then Denver played them and beat them...suddenly the Saints sucked and everyone forgets the talking up that was done prior to.
Same with Tampa. Tampa was playing really well, Denver beat them, they went into a tailspin, and suddenly all that talk was irrelevant.
We beat Baltimore down and everyone says it's cause Baltimore sucks, but when they beat the Giants, suddenly everyone was on their jocks again.
So why don't they get credit for those situations? It goes both ways. _________________
