Now I know PFF is pretty infamous around these parts, and for good reasons as they seem to have incredible biases and their entire grading system is pretty flawed, that being said I still enjoy some of their statistics and value their opinions at least a little. For those not familiar they have a grading system where they grade every play for each player from I think -2 to +2, receiving a 0 means you did your job and nothing more, while getting a +2 is rare and would probably be something like a one handed game winning TD catch with no time left off a bad pass. You get the point. Not going to give the exact grades because they're a business too and I'm sure they don't want someone giving out mass info for free, however you could probably find their info I'm about to give you if you want through all their free articles (which I wouldn't advise...). The following are basically who PFF considers to have played the best/worst at their position so far this season, and this season only. It's not as much a player ranking as it is a performance ranking. If you see a player on your team for any reason please don't shy away from giving your opinion as to whether you think they've actually been playing that good/bad. Interested to see how accurate PFF has been so far this year. Also if you see any player in general who don't think deserves his ranking here then feel free to comment.

Surprised [though not shocked] to see McCourty in the top-5. He's been solid this year, but not without his mistakes [especially penalty-wise].

REALLY surprised not to see Patrick Chung among the bottom-5 safeties. He's been pretty awful.

Percy Harvin and Harrison Smith are beasts!

Kevin Williams has played at a high level too, nice to see.

RB Adrian Peterson - #1
WR Percy Harvin - #2
FB Jerome Felton - #5
C John Sullivan - #3
DT Kevin Williams - #5
LB Chad Greenway - #4
CB Antoine Winfield - #2
S Harrison Smith - #3

Vikings have been playing well this year. Cool

I am surprised Matt Kalil and Erin Henderson aren't up there, however I am surprised that Winfield and Kevin Williams are playing that well.

Jerome Felton and Harrison Smith both are pleasant surprises and definitely deserve their rankings.

Awful, how is John Wendling not the worst safety?!? He's garbage! Also, Pettigrew should be worst TE. Happy to see Rob Sims on the OG list. Surprised I don't see Stephen Peterman on the worst OG list. Also surprised Chris Houston isn't on the best CB list, he's been on lockdown every snap.

I thought Jerel Worthy had been playing pretty well surprised to see him bottom 5 at 3-4 DE.

Wow. SF is pretty well represented in the top 5's. One theyre missing is Anthony Davis. He's had a much better year than Staley so far this year, allowing zero sacks and being a beast in the run game.

Quinn Ojinnaka is most definitely one of the worst 5 OGs in the league.

This list just confirms what I've felt about TJ Ward.

God forbid if he got hurt. He is our only safety worth a damn.

The saddest thing is seeing Arizona have 4 of their 5 offensive lineman on bottom 5 lists. Poor Kolb.

Also surprised to see how dominating the SF line has been, although that would explain why Alex Smith is doing so well. Not saying Smith is trash but he's playing like a top 8 QB which I definitely don't think he is. Maybe top 15.

Justin Houston #1 Cool

He's been such a beast this year, in all facets of the 34 OLB position. Ridiculous steal.

Pretty bad list concerning the Patriots.

- Devin McCourty is completely awful. Top 5? Maybe bottom 15.
- Vince Wilfork is undoubtedly in the top 5 for his position.
- Vollmer isn't bad, but he's not top 5. He's too injured for that.

So 49ers lose Adam Snyder as a FA and replace him with Alex Boone, that look like a win to me Laughing
and some people still think we need to get a OG in the 1st 2 rounds of the draft Wink
shock to see Joe Staley over Anthony Davis
